We appreciate you all.
🙏 God speed.
Rod Mays was a good man, a family man, a funny man, he was a friend to many. He was a Man of God, and was very well known in the community and at his church. He had two children, his son Nathaniel Mays, and his daughter Dasha Mays-Lopez. Rod was taken away from this world too soon, on January 2nd, 2018 while visiting his mother in Mexico, he suffered a massive heart attack that took his life.
Rod is in the heavens now, he is flying with angels. But his presence will be greatly missed.
With such a sudden death in the family, there are many unexpected expenses, and we are asking for you to contribute to this family during this time of grief so that they can focus on healing and moving forward with not only tying up loose ends on Rod’s behalf, but also dealing with all the details of putting him to rest.
Prayers for the family, for comfort and healing.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👉 Independent Label Artists Rock! (Year End Appreciation) Post # 4 👈 🎧🔊🎶 One of the things I love about music is how it speaks to the mind, and then our emotions (when the level of song craft is high enough). Those emotions can then be created at that level, making their way into the world - the listener's world. Good or bad. Happy or sad. Casual or confusing. All are of the world, and remind us that we are alive. The music of Belgian born, and New York based #ILSE (#ILSEGEVAERT - @ilserecords ) is almost miraculous at what it does, and that is because its power largely comes from complex Dance rhythms, and much of it is actually "danceable." Songs like "#WeRiseWeFall (We Rise, We Fall)" pulse like the beat of the heart, swim melodically around the beat, and elevate to triumphant peaks via the beauty and precision of her vocals (breathy, soft - and sometimes suddenly soulful) . Other songs like "#Circles " are straight ahead Pop, but not in any ordinary sense. The track describes the teetering and tugging of a relationship that should never have happened, but the groove is so infectious that you forget the song's context. Just amazing. There are also tracks like "#Oasis " that sound practically orchestral, moving between musical awe, and beautiful balladry. Her debut album '#IAmHuman ' is something I listen to for the sheer art of it. It is like a music lesson that doubles as a Dance recording. The fact that it also makes room for observations of humanity itself along the way boggles my mind. And if all of this sounds like hyperbole to you, then I make no apologies. In fact, I hope it peaks your interest enough to seek this artist out. Her release is available on most formats.
