Think he might be onto something there. There were too many situations in my life were I was disappointed that the situation didn't turn out I would have wished it to. And? Did it help? No! It just distressed me and made it harder for me to continue with life. In short : I lost time. Time that I could have spend in the moment. With friend and loved ones and all I did was being angry and disappointed.
Now I try to remind myself that everything happens for a reason. One that I might not understand at all in the moment but that may totally make sense in the past.
So don't focus on what could have been better but instead on what you can do about the current situation and you will do well 😜🤓(see what I did there? 😏😜🙈😂)

I went from using 5 and 8 lb weights to 15 and 22
Here’s one I WISH I could measure....I’m a much better mom and wife.
With more patience, less anxiety and not really sweating the small stuff.
My kids eat better, they ASK to exercise with me. Those things are immeasurable and I love it! Because I’m their role model, and they’ll grow up to be healthy humans who will enjoy life and get out there!

Pleased with this raw vegan cheesecake! It's nothing compared to actual cheesecake (my fav food EVER), but it's a good enough substitute so I don't need to contribute to unnecessary suffering and environmental degradation ❤🌏 Plus it's healthy, yay! All that goodness makes me happy I'm making kind choices.
The first year my dad went whole foods plant-based no oil was 2011 (the same year I was married - and he was able to dance the night away at our wedding)! That year for Christmas, my mom gave all of us produce ornaments, and I believe the gift tag said “from Santa Essy” @dr_esselstyn I’m forever thankful for doctors like Dr. Esselstyn for giving us the gift of good health! To make them, combine 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1 scoop of @bulknutrients protein powder, 1 cup of blueberries, a splash of vanilla essence, and 1 cup of water. Leave to soak overnight, and top with pomegranate arils, shredded coconut, sliced banana, and cinnamon. If you want less fat and lower calories, leave the coconut out 👍

Sorry I have not been posting much lately. I hope you are doing well.
Big changes are going on around here and I have been so busy I’ve just had to stay off-line. This evening I made a quick meal with roasted corn, pinto beans, green pepper, red onion, tomatoes, spinach, lime juice, and avocado.
Sunday’s are for batch cooking. First try at cooking in my new Instant Pot. I started with refried beans, because what else is there? They turned out amazing. Kid approved. I made some brown rice in the rice cooker as well. It’s gonna me a Mexican fiesta kind of week. .
