SWEET GRAPES & CRISP APPLE SLICES for my HUSBAND: For dessert with of a couple of my husband's recent whole-food, plant-based, no-oil (WFPBNO) lunches at work he had a some sweet grapes with crisp apple slices.

The main course? Tasty servings of my batch-cooked Veggie Stir-Non-Fry over Mixed Whole Grains with Brown Sauce.
.
That dish included: Onion; Garlic; Ginger (fresh grated); Snowpeas; Snap Peas; Broccoli; Kale; Baby Spinach; Asparagus (Trader Joe's, grilled, frozen); Corn; Mixed Stirfry Veggies (Trader Joe's, frozen); as well as no-salt-added spices and herbs, and a few other goodies. In addition, I added a small amount of Braggs Liquid Amino and a bit of a teriyaki basting sauce.

I served that over some of a recently made batch of my Whole Grains Recipe Builder (farro, kamut, and wheat berries with oatmeal). A tasty and hearty whole grain blend!
.
His servings of the Stir-Non-Fry were topped with a bit more sesame seeds, dry-roasted unsalted peanuts, and soy sauce, as well as some more teriyaki basting sauce.
.
Before becoming WFPBNO, I used to include a lot of oils, soy sauce, and several commercially made sauces. Not now! The results? A very, very tasty, and much, much healthier dish!!

He  also had a bowl of mixed veggies: Broccoli; Cauliflower; Carrots; Corn; with a barbeque spice blend.

So I've been lost in my own self wallowing for over a year. But a sequence of events changed that. 1. I got sick of my own bull crap 2. I physically feel like shit. 3. I reached out to friends and family and talked about my struggles. 4. I wrote Dr John #mcdougall himself and he wrote me back by the next morning!!! I remember @therealchefaj joking in one of her videos about he's so quick to reply that some people say he's replied to you before you even hit send. But I thought that applied to his colleagues. Apparently he is such a caring soul that he replies to EVERYONE that emails him. It really meant a lot to me and helped spark some inspiration. 5. I remembered that walking brings me joy. So I'm going to go to an indoor track here cause I live in a temperate rain forest and it's like a monsoon outside. 
I guess just a mixture of these things all came together last night for me. After over a year of binging, wallowing, obsessing, etc, I'm just done. I'm done being crazy with food and being depressed. So I've been lost in my own self wallowing for over a year. But a sequence of events changed that. 1. I got sick of my own bull crap 2. I physically feel like shit. 3. I reached out to friends and family and talked about my struggles. 4. I wrote Dr John #mcdougall  himself and he wrote me back by the next morning!!! I remember @therealchefaj joking in one of her videos about he's so quick to reply that some people say he's replied to you before you even hit send. But I thought that applied to his colleagues. Apparently he is such a caring soul that he replies to EVERYONE that emails him. It really meant a lot to me and helped spark some inspiration. 5. I remembered that walking brings me joy. So I'm going to go to an indoor track here cause I live in a temperate rain forest and it's like a monsoon outside. I guess just a mixture of these things all came together last night for me. After over a year of binging, wallowing, obsessing, etc, I'm just done. I'm done being crazy with food and being depressed. So today is the first day of the rest of my life.
