The health benefits of iron mainly include its job of providing life-giving oxygen to organ systems through its role in red blood cell production. About two-thirds of the body’s iron is found in hemoglobin. Other health benefits of include reduction of iron deficiency anemia, anemia of chronic disease, cough, anemia in pregnancy, predialysis anemia and many other varieties.
The health benefits of iron relate to the proper growth of human body and maintenance of robust health. It is an essential protein component for metabolism, and the human body needs it to produce red blood cells. The human body is capable of preserving up to 25% of iron for future use, especially in the cases of inadequate diet intake, which is a backup plan for reducing the impact of #anemia , if its intake suddenly declines.
In the body, about 70% of iron is found in hemoglobin and myoglobin. Hemoglobin is the primary transporter of oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissues, while myoglobin is in muscle cells, and makes acceptance, storage, transportation, and release of oxygen possible in those cells. About 5% of it is found as components of various proteins and as necessary elements in certain enzymatic reactions. Finally, up to 25% of the body’s iron is stored in ferritin, which is in the cells and circulating in the bloodstream. Ferritin can store up to three years’ worth of #iron supplementation for men, but only about one year’s worth for women, which is why #anemia is more common in females #uglybynature

5 years ago I moved into this adorable doll house in Toronto with my bestfriend/boyfriend. Today I leave this special place for a dose of the unknown in Montreal with my husband/favourite human. I was carried across the threshold here, and today I walked away feeling really light.
In 2004 Phil was the only vegetarian at the big family Thanksgiving.
Fast forward to today and it’s a completely different story.
The entire extended family on our mom’s side is going vegan.
We haven’t spent as much time with our dad’s side of the family. But there is massive movement there as well.
Friends, random acquaintances, people who appear to be completely different from us all at least make movement toward veganism after hanging out with us.
Republicans, democrats, religious motherfuckers, atheists, hunters, masculine bro motherfuckers, hot women, rednecks, police officers, etc.
Every fucking person!
And we did a fun Facebook Live today where we explained how to apply this shit to your life.
And we talked about our new exclusive, high-level 1-on-2 coaching we just launched.
If you want these same results for your own life click the link in the @veganbros bio to learn more.
"When one is born into animal agriculture there is an indoctrination that begins from the beginning. For me it began with being taught by my family that animals were here for our use. They were things of utility, of commerce"... [see 4th picture]. This indoctrination spans across all groups in society- those who consume animals but don't farm are more disconnected and also, quite indoctrinated, by family, social groups and the media. Harold Brown is living proof of "breaking free" from how we have been conditioned to think in regards to animals and the collective acceptance of the elimination of their inherent right to their own lives. Coming from a family of cattle farmers and having extensive experience in animal agriculture, he is now vigilant in exposing the idea of "humane slaughter" as nothing more than a label that holds little weight- a title to comfort the consumer from the truth, as no living being goes quietly into the night when faced with their own death. In another interview with HumaneMyth.org, Brown speaks further on the indoctrination we all endure to desensitize us to the plight of our fellow animal: "I can tell you as a former animal farmer that while it may be true that you can treat an animal kindly and show tenderness toward them, mercy is a different matter". #animalliberation#animalrights#vegan#vegansofig#vegansofinstagram#crueltyfree#whatveganslooklike#animallover#animallovers#plantstrong#vegetarian#meat#beef#burger#pork#ham#bacon#chicken#dairy#cheese#health#healthyeating#healthy#morals

Christina and I can't wait to move down here and try everything on the @violettesveganlv menu. For this visit, I got the Hippie Chick Burger 🍔. The menu said it's made from black beans, quinoa, and sunflower seeds but they must have thrown in rainbows and star shine or something because it tasted amazing. Even the bun was delicious. So soft it felt like it was composed of clouds. Can't wait to see what else Vegas has to offer vegans. 🖖🏾👦🏾
#nofilter just raw unadulterated sunny San Diego summatime. In all the years I've lived in San Diego I vowed the first day in summer of 2001 to never take living by the beach for granted and I never have. My rent is twice what it was living around the corner of the governor's mansion in St Paul but it is worth it. To me. 💙

Day 31/70: Hold me up
and watch me bloom.
I'm a dangerous fire;
a poison fume. 🌙
Being alone the majority of the time, being poor, and having a ton of free time has it's perks. I'm the type of gal that can't stand not having anything to do.. I don't know how to "relax." For my whole life, all I've known is work study fitness work love friendships study fitness progress; constant movement toward more more more and a better, more successful, fuller, and well-rounded life. But, this summer I've been really TRYING to not go crazy from not having anything to do... and I've been really trying to embrace the minimal-stress vacation time and the grace period before the transition from young adult to real real adult (lol). so far, so good. with one workout a day, 4 days a week, and the momentary luxury of minimal stress, I've been able to health to the highest potential haha and hey, I'm not complaining. trying to not take it for granted. 🙏
Every single yoga practice feels different. Every meditation takes you somewhere new. There's no "boring" when it comes to self exploration because the subject is eternal. The range of feelings and emotions you can experience is endless. The depth of your being is bottomless and is there for you to explore. There's nothing more gratifying and enlightening then learning and understanding more about who and why you are.
P.S: What would you guys like to see on my page? Should I stick to food or are you interested to know more about my workouts and lifestyle?😊 hit me up with your opinions!
Here's an example of what I order at a vegan cafe when I'm on my "lean and mean" vacation plan. Doha and Maldives are right around the corner so I need these abs poppin'!
This is an example of a high protein/low carb vegan meal. I ordered a double chick'n on a bed of greens with grilled onions, pico de gallo, and a bit of cashew cheese on top.
When you want to burn through that stubborn belly fat, I found that carb manipulation gives the best results. I built my nutrition plan to go hand in hand with my fitness program. For example, on a heavy leg day, I will eat more carbs at the proper time in order to achieve the best results and reap the muscle gain benefits while burning that unwanted fat. On a rest day, I'll keep my carb intake lower, and so on.

Baby muscles. 💪🏼😆 I can never get a good angle or lightning. 🤷🏻♀️ But really, who cares, right? 😜 Got my kickboxing in. 👊🏼Sweat and red face filtered out because...yikes! Cardio is no joke. 😅So much fun though. I think that's how exercise should be. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Also, helps with depression, anxiety and stress. It's my preferred drug of choice. Now excuse me while I make myself a smoothie. #kickboxing#cardio#havesomefun#healthylifestyle#sweatymess#whatveganslooklike#vegansofig#vegan
