Tomorrow we will be arriving at our end goal Smygehuk. Today, the last full day of our trip, has been as amazing as the previous 59 days. We cycled the beautiful coast of Skåne, visited Ales Stenar and ended the day with a beer under the stars at a beach. It is however starting to get chilly at night and we are very grateful to be lying in our warm sleeping bags in our tent now. Good night!

Good morning! Waking up to the sound of waves crashing in on the beach, crawling out of our tent to watching the sunrise. We only have a few more days left before reaching our end goal for this trip and we're soaking in every minute of it. We will miss the quiet and the wild and all the beauty of the Swedish nature. 😢😏
breakfast earlier today was spiced up by 2 adorable strangers. they were fishing for crayfish. 1 of them told us that he could simply catch crayfishes from the river with his bare hands when he was young (in the 60s), now they have to use traps and baits. i just hope that traps and baits will still get us some crayfishes 40 years from now.
What a day! It's been raining constantly since waking up. We've been cycling with our "waterproof" gears, completely soaked all the way through. Despite freezing fingers and toes we managed to do 35 km, all on slippery dirt roads. We found this shelter just when we were starting to give up. Dry clothes on, fire going and soon some dinner. We are warmer and happier now 😊☔🔥
Today a car passed by us and stopped just a bit further ahead. He got out and asked us to stop. We of course wondered what he wanted. He went to the back of his car and took out a big piece of warm smoked salmon. He said he wanted to give it to us as a present. His daughter is cycling in New Zealand, so he knows that you get hungry on the road.
We boiled some potatoes, fried up some mushrooms and ate with the super delicious salmon. Thank you so much for making our dinner so wonderful! ❤ It warms our hearts to discover such kindness from strangers.
#WHENWEGROWUP will be a commemoration of each of you and of our founding effort to 'shine the spotlight on our talented peers.'
Jamaican artist #EbonyGPatterson is this session’s inspiration.
As she eloquently explains about her encrusted artwork, 'I’m hoping by slowing the viewer down in these experiences, to pull the viewer in to see further and raise questions about how we engage in the act of looking...'
we hope to commemorate each attendee's lived experiences of surviving and thriving, through storytelling and story-listening, that may otherwise go unseen.
While answering a question assigned to you by the chance of Spin the Bottle, your peers will draw a snapshot of you in that present moment. We will use portraiture as a tool of commemoration and encourage documenting heard words and sentences that stand out to you.
#SOHCHO9 will be our closing class of 2017. Join us in BK at @newwomenspace❤️ This Sunday, August27❤️ Doors open at 6:00
