Quick post run hammy stretch. Can you tell how inflexible I am by the vein popping out of my neck at the mere effort of lifting a leg?😬🙄
Hope everyone had a good start to their week! I went out for an 8 miler today and FINALLY hit my pace!! I’ve got a goal pace for the race so I try to have some of my long training runs be right around/ a little slower than that pace. This is the first long run of this training cycle (which has been weak, I’ll admit) where I hit that pace easily. 🙌🙌🙌 That makes me a little more confident for race day (half marathon mid January) ! .
Who has tricks to keep their mind busy while they run? Sometimes I like to pretend I’m dramatically running in the music video for the music I’m listening to...🤷♀️ But when I’m really over it, I just keep saying “I’m lucky to be running” in my head. It reminds me that I’m honestly lucky to have strong and healthy legs that carry me 8 miles (no matter how leaden they feel☠️)
Anyone else have a running or workout mantra?
