One forgets that there are environments which do not respond to the flick of a switch or the twist of a dial, and which have their own rhythms and orders of existence. - Robert Macfarlane from Mountains of the Mind. I took this photo two weeks ago today on a hike on the Decker Loop on Blackcomb Mountain. I'm grateful for that day before we switched from autumn to winter. Today this trail, at 7,000' is covered in snow.
I had lofty inspirations to tote my new #canon with me to all depths of the earth but tbqh, I've been lazy and have only been carrying my iPhone 6 Plus with me to take photos. (It's so much lighter! And fits in my pocket!) 😬 Until today - and thank god. They’ll serve better justice to the unparalleled beauty of #whistler and #blackcomb than anything emotional and long-winded I have to say. 💅 I'm still trying to figure out what the fuck I'm doing photo-wise but I tried my best. 🤛 /// #britishcolumbia#canada#bc#whistlerblackcomb#peaktopeak#mountainresorts
I came to Vancouver to find some fall color. It’s one of the things I miss about living in the Midwest. San Diego has a lot to offer but there just is no real change of seasons. I can’t get enough of the 🍁🍁🍁🍁.
