Day 11 of Whole 30 and going strong! Both hubby and I feel this has been the easiest Whole 30 we've done. Rarely even the thought of non compliant foods much less cravings. Tonight for dinner is a colourful stir fry (which I've had the steak marinating since Sunday in a homemade concoction of oil, vinegar and spices, just no salt in order to keep is #babyledweaning friendly). #dinner #whole30 #whole30recipes #whole30approved #healthy #steak #eattherainbow

Lunch today was white albacore tuna salad on spinach. Skipped the egg, used my new Chipotle mayo, two roma tomatoes, red onion & capers, topped with walnuts & a pear on the side. Fresh, healthy, delicious!

Cooking up some sick day stew I named for snow day S T E L L A ✨  Herb heavily and then cook on the stove: red bell pepper, celery, onions, kossak kohlrabi and purple cabbage. Add vegetarian broth and let simmer, the longer the better, tastier and more flavorful. Red bell pepper is one of the best sources of vitamin C, and also pack in the beta carotene, capsaicin, and many anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. Cabbage is a low in fats, calories, cholesterol and more but filled with fiber, folates and a multitude of vitamins, electrolytes and minerals. #eeeeats •

I know I will be sore tomorrow (and if I'm being honest, the next few days after too!), but I can't wait to continue seeing the changes in my body from getting in my workouts every single day. There will be days when you don't want to workout, those are the days you push harder. Your body needs rest, but when a rest day turns into a rest week, get up off your booty and get your workout in. What are you doing to move today?

So the AIP is really fucking hard. Especially for my lifestyle right now where I live basically in two different places and am all over the place. Living without eggs and potatoes feels like torture and it has caused me to give in to cravings, eating things I shouldn't like corn and too much rice. I'm deciding today that I am going to go back to eggs and potatoes and trying to eat as close to #whole30 foods as I can. I know that dairy makes me feel shitty and so does corn. I have to stop doing 30 days here and there and being so strict because it stresses me out. I have to practice food freedom and work on making good choices the majority of the time. I can live without gluten and dairy. I can live without grains. I don't think I can continue without eggs. The best I've ever felt was during my two rounds of Whole30 so that's what I am going to do. I need consistency more than anything. That's where my focus needs to be. Otherwise, my skin looks like this pic, which FEELS itchy, scratchy, and annoying. The journey continues, my friends.
