Sometimes all we need is just a little bit of magic 🌲 not only the whole Christmas thing about trimming and picking and decorating, but also putting down the Christmas tree together became a tradition of ours 🌲😄
Currently catching up on orders from this week so I can get our Valentine’s samples made up! I was going to try for more, but it’s looking like we’ll have two new bonnets along with some old patterns that will work just as well! I still have a couple of the Finley, pictured above, available in the shop as well. Seriously one of my all time faves!
I’m so excited it’s Friday peeps! I’m honored to share these lovely images of childhood with you today! Give their galleries some love 🖤

“Please post more baby activities” - the most common question I am getting 🙏🏻 We Moms need more ideas about interesting and engaging things to do with our baby. Here’s some thoughts for babies 1-2 years of age – those who already can stand and even roam around, who are just about to understand colors and numbers, and who love to explore new / small/ shiny/noisy objects with their little hands ❤️
Firstly, have a low shelf for their”stuff” accessible for them any time. You can put couple of educational toys there like pyramids (rotate weekly, hide the rest). And then load other interesting objects there. Some examples and ideas:
1️⃣ Stacker / Stackable cups: colorful containers of different sizes are a must have (search on Amazon to buy). You can do:
. ✨Games with grains/ dry dal - for example fill the biggest container with dal, pour it into smaller container, something will be left in the first one. Then keep pouring into smaller and smaller sizes – great to explain the concept of big and small. And super fun to load them with dal grains and pour in and out...
. ✨” Mama and Baby” – big hit for Shannon at 2 years of age. Arrange containers into pairs by size and color (big blue is Mama, small blue is Baby). Draw “eyes” using markers, and even add tears to Mamas’ eyes. Because then you will hide “Babies” around the room, difficulty to find depends on age of the child. So “Mama” is crying, “Baby” is hidden – ask your kid to find the Baby or help her if your kid is very small 🤗
. ✨” Tea Time” – imagine that containers are chai cups. Invite the soft toys and dolls to the tea ceremony, and ask baby to match big “cups” to the big toys and small “cups” to small ones. You can also 👇🏻👇🏻 open Comments for more ideas 👇🏻👇🏻
Flash back Friday. When she was only 1.5 months and the mobile on her swing was just so fascinating. Look at those stars! And they move! How do they do that? And, who is that baby up there?!?!?! She's only five months but it's all going by so fast.
3/52 Hooray for Friday! Fresh blooms, sun and a sink bath was just what the doctor ordered to end this miserable week! We have such a big kitchen island and yet our kitchen sink is tiny! However these two wanted a bath together in said tiny sink...they pretty much hugged the whole time! 💗💗 Image @charlotte.green #faceless_friday
The other day I started using a tripod to try to get in photos more, and I’m doing this for 2 reasons. First, I want to exist in pictures for Tucker. He won’t care what I look like in them or if it’s perfectly composed, he will just like seeing me in them. I know that because the few pictures I have of me and my mom when I’m young are priceless to me. Secondly, I often nitpick myself in photos and I want to move through the urge to do that. I want to get to a point that whether it’s the most flattering photo or the least, I see it and think, “That was so fun” or “I am pretty awesome” or “I have a great life”. Photography has been manipulated by our media to say that only model photos of people are “worthy”, when photos of you in your life are a celebration. You are worth being photographed no matter your size, hair color, whether you have acne or if you have a unibrow. You’re worth it because you’re an amazing person who is living, surviving, and loving. So I challenge you to stop shying away from the camera if you are feeling insecure about how you look, and every morning look in the mirror and say, “I’m amazing and worthy and strong”. ❤️ Let’s love ourselves more fully and photograph ourselves in a self love revolution ❤️✨
