I like my apples straight from the tree 10 for $2. If you have about 8 free hours cruise on over to Fruita, Utah. The now ghost town founded by the Mormons in 1880 and abandoned in 1955 when the @nationalparkservice purchased it, gives a unique glimpse of the past settlers who made the mini oasis their home. With orchards boasting nearly 2,500 fruit trees, it's now known as "The Garden of Eden" in the midst of the red canyons of @capitolreefnps

Saw this big boy in the wetlands at Wolf Howl Pond.
With the days quickly getting shorter... the nights colder... I’m sure he’s tucking himself in for a long winters nap soon. ❄️🐸🌙❄️
I've been growing out the beard, sporting the flannel + hitting the road looking for the ultimate @nationalparkservice adventure. On the journey I found the Garden of Eden in Fruita, UT. Just within the boarders of @capitolreefnps this secluded Mormon settlement is an oasis brought to life by a murmuring stream in the belly of the Utah desert. Get your hands on some homemade blackberry pies + fresh creamed honey as you gaze in awe at the massive sloping red rock faces that plummet to the earth halted by endless apple + pear groves where bushels are $2 and the random worm for a shot of protein are free.

Sunday's itinerary was to (hopefully) catch some undercast from a firetower and view the fall foliage by the rising sun. However, I was distracted and caught this shot of her taking a shot with the Presidential Range seen in the background.
