LOL It slipped and popped all over and I was going to redo it but decided it's really the imperfections that makes these photos real. Not everything should be staged and tweaked till it's 'perfect'... because nothing in life is really perfect, right? 😅 #momentofepiphany
Reverse sear flank
Flank steaks should be at least 2" thick. Pat dry the steak before seasoning. (Adding a bit of sugar to the seasoning will help promote caramelization/browning.) Refrigerate (on a rack) uncovered overnight to dry the outside.
Adjust oven rack to the middle position and preheat the oven to 225 F.
Place the steak on a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet.
Roast until thermometer inserted through side into the center of the thickest part reaches an internal temp of 120 F for medium rare. (About 30 minutes) Remove from oven, lightly cover with tinfoil and let rest. Grill on high heat, or sear steak on a hot cast iron pan with grape seed oil, butter, herbs, garlic, flipping every 1 minute (to prevent flank from curling up) until brown crust forms on both sides. Enjoy!

You're the apple to my pie 🍎! Growing up, my mom was known for her apple pie 🥧. In partnership with @countrycrock, I decided to follow in her footsteps and make a mini version! I used their new buttery sticks for the crust since you can use them right out of the fridge. Wouldn't these be so fun for Thanksgiving 🦃?! I know I'd love my own mini pie - they are so easy to serve that they'd be perfect after the big meal. I handmade the crust and filled it with store-bought filling to save time 😉.
