Received lamb and wine from Ningxia last week. Never tasted such tender and mutton-flavor free lamb before. This Cabernet Gernischt is also amazing, full of green pepper and grass notes. Viva Ningxia! #winepairing

參加咗阿根庭Terrazas及Cheval des Andes葡萄酒試酒會, Cheval des Andes係法國波爾多知名酒莊Chateau Cheval Blanc （白馬）係阿根庭同本土著名Terrazas de Los Andes酒莊合資。試咗Terrazas 嘅Reserve Chardonnay 2016年、Reserve Malbec 2015年及Cheval des Andes 2012年，我覺得後者非常有波爾多葡萄酒嘅優雅，帶紫花、雲尼拿、黑布冧、黑胡椒、朱古力等味，唔講你一定會以為係法國酒！Beef Bar 嘅牛好好食，襯阿根庭酒perfect!
Attended Terrazas & Cheval des Andes Argentinean wine tasting. Cheval des Andes is a collaboration of the renowned Chateau Cheval Blanc from Bordeaux & the famous local Winery Terrazas de Los Andes! Tried Terrazas Reserve Chardonnay 2016, Reserve Malbec 2015 & Cheval des Andes 2012. I like the last one the most, which is very Bordeaux style, elegant & with violet, vanilla, black pepper, black plum & cocoa notes. You'll guess it's a French wine if you blind taste it! The food in Beef Bar is really good! Perfect match with Argentinean wines!

After this hurly-burly summer of lettering on all kind of surfaces, hights and edges I am more than exhausted. So today I'm ringing in a richly deserved break under the sun. (Easy lettering will continue - never leave the hood without a pen!) Bags are packed! Check! 😅✈️☀️
Bargain hunting Ribera del Duero usually ends up as abysmal as it is intended. This thing reeks of home winemaker it's even got the oily film on it that you occasionally see in barrels which is no big deal but it should never translate to bottle. Speaking of barrels, oak oak oak oak oak that's all you smell on this thing and American Oak honestly, smokey and sharp. There's basically no fruit, it's all musk and acid and drinking it here with a really zesty pasta dish it kind of gets away with it I mean if I were into catchphrases I suppose you could call it *food wine* but I feel often that phrase covers a multitude of sins. VA rules the roost here. Just say no.
