#Repost from myself because a truth shared among witches is: Healing is Collective Liberation. ・・・
I pulled the Liberation card on purpose. The card, second to last of the Major Arcana, shows a transgender person supine on the ground, a mask at their side and a bird escaping their chest. This card is about taking stock of the past -- the loss, heartbreak, surprise and even joys -- and coming to terms with the sum of this history. One must face the truths and remove the masks of distance and disinterest. A seismic transformation is upon us and your task is radical honesty with yourself and with others. The bird leaving the body to join comrades in the sky says: "Collect your people Speak up Speak out !" You do not have to accept this moment // Another world is still possible. And that world depends on your being grounded in care. It is time to reckon with and destroy dynamics in your life that do not support your own healing and liberation. We must be more than woke :: It is time to get free. #witchesheal#witchescounsel#witch#freewitch#healing#liberation#tarot#tarotreading#judgement#care#feelingsasprotest#witchcraftasresistance

Trump just reversed Obama era federal policies that protect trans kids in schools. These policies allowed trans students to use the proper bathroom that corresponds to their gender identities. What does this mean? It means that the federal government is turning their back on trans and queer individuals, and allowing "the states to decide" the fate of students. This is a veiled way of the federal government saying "we no longer support you". This is the federal government saying that they do not care enough to enforce policies of protection. This is a dangerous step backwards for trans rights//human rights and is completely unacceptable. Trump & his administration continue to make and enforce policies that directly put queers//trans//minorities//POC//disabled folx & women at risk. Cis white men are the real menace to society, not innocent trans & queer children. Stop demonizing queers. Stop demonizing trans people. Stop demonizing CHILDREN who only want basic human rights and to be protected. If you are an ally, make your voice heard.
Speak up. Act up. Call out. Show up for trans and queer youths. Protest. Donate. Put your bodies in the street if you are able. Make it known that you will be there to protect & help those in need. Those who remain silent in the face of oppression are part of the problem.
Call the Department of Justice at 202-353-1555 OR call the Department of Education at 800-872-5327 /// here is a script you can use when calling: "Hi, my name is _______ and I'm a constituent from (city, zip code). I'm calling to express my opposition to the president's reversal of Obama's executive order allowing transgender students to use bathrooms based on their gender identities. The real threat to school safety is not trans students, but discriminatory policies that stigmatize vulnerable children and teens." /// If you are unable to get through, stay on the line and keep trying to call! Sometimes you may have to call several times before you get through to a person.
