Yesterday called me to delve into the shadows, to explore hidden corners & dive into the depths. I love the unknown, the spaces which may seem the most challenging or to be feared, the pathless void, the stillness beyond form.
I settled into perhaps the deepest-rooted empowerment I've yet known, channeling for hours from what I feel is beyond mind & thoughts, rather a letting in of the divine self. The floodgates opened, yet all funneled in & focused with the precision of a pyramid's point. All the universe. Yet one verse.
After this channeling, I realized my moon was here. I'd thought it was falling a bit late, but it was just returning to its cycle. Aligned with the New Moon.
I had returned to hormonal birth control for a couple months around Oregon Eclipse & Burning Man, as I've found FAM (fertility awareness method) can be difficult when changing climates often. Yet a depth was hidden to a degree with the artificial hormones circulating.
In the past few years, I realized I can feel the lunar cycles by tuning in to my body. & by allowing the flow of whatever feels called to express or embody. Yesterday, I discovered it felt like a New Moon. We checked the calendar. Yes. The way my spirit, psychology, emotions expressed, told me this. My body shared it as well, especially with my period's arrival.
For those couple of months back on the pill though, my period shifted to a couple of days earlier. Still I'd feel the moon's transitions, & things expressed in me that when I'd check, I'd find was me feeling astrological events mirrored within. Yet my awareness was diluted & masked in a way.
Something magical still came through though. On the day of the Eclipse, about ten minutes before it began, my blood began to flow. Usually I wake up with my period, or it can begin after sex, but rarely, if ever, has it come randomly later in the day. I'd like to share more on this Eclipse magic later, but the main message I felt in my body was a deep reminder of how the feminine can hold space for & cleanse things all across this Earth, with our wombs & moons. We carry that power. Of holding. Of healing. Of transformation.

Happy New Moon in Scorpio ✨🌑✨ Day 18 of #thenovembertarot hosted by @lionharts: A fresh start
With this new moon, there is an opportunity to release negative attachments from past situations where there was a power imbalance. Intuition, creativity and emotions are heightened at this time. While these spiritual excavations are taking place, act with intention. Remain grounded and always aware of your shadow, to ensure your actions are aligned with your highest good.
Swipe to see the cards, and to see the cards I pulled for days 15, 16 and 17.
Day 15: The good about me now vs. my past. I was very focused on healing emotionally and creating happiness in my life (10 of cups). Now I am ready to create with my mind again, and bring ideas into form. (Ace of Swords)
Day 16: my happiness/my zen. Happiness: Page of Cups. I'm happy when I feel connected to my intuition and imagination. When my life is filled with love. My Zen: The Moon. My zen is my spiritual practice, it keeps me calm and grounded.
Day 17: a positive look at a difficult situation: I felt very fulfilled creatively at a certain point(queen of wands), but huge changes swept through my life (Death. They were out of my control, but it brought about growth, and a new cycle.
Day 14,288... **Blessed by @thehoodwitch - The naked awareness of the Dark Goddess is to see the destruction and death of the old and joyfully embrace it as a sign of imminent renewal. 🦂New Moon in Scorpio 11/18/2017🦂
The Moon's transit through Scorpio is a time of death and rebirth (not necessarily physical death).Intensity, extremes, and heightened sensitivity are important themes as the watery sign of Scorpio represents deep emotions and desires. This is a good time for rituals pertaining to psychic work, and release. As sensitivity is heightened, we may experience a shift for an open channel of new information to flow. I find this to be a wonderful time, where I feel the Goddess most intensely, especially the Dark Goddesses.
Our New Moon in Scorpio Ritual goes up mañana, so follow our IG story on how you can work with the transformative scorpion energy to release and explore the depths within. 💀🦂✨🖤 #thehoodwitch#darkmoon#goddess#witchcraft#ritual#everydaymagic#witchesofinstagram#collectivehealing#esotericwisdom#esotericart#darkgoddess#awaken#shadowwork#lightwork#spirit#death#rebirth 📸: artist unknown - #regrann
Late night work on my digital grimoire to some soothing guitar. 💜
I love my eGrimoire as I call it because it’s mine and all the work I’ve put into it has been extremely worth having everything organized the way I want it to be. 😊
My goal is to one day start print this out and turning it into a physical book that I can refer to whenever I need to instead of using my phone. :) #eclectic#eclecticwitch#greenwitch#grimoire#witchcraft#witchesofinstagram#latenightwitchyness
Summary: In the tradition of Marion Zimmer Bradley'sMists of Avalon, Ellen Evert Hopman weaves Druid history and spirituality into an engaging love story. This Bardic teaching tale is set in a fictional third-century Ireland when Christianity is sweeping across the Celtic Isles. During this time of crisis, love blooms between Ethne, a Druid healer, and her patient, a Fennid warrior. Their passionate affair suffers a tragic blow when Ethne is called upon to become the high queen.
Told from the Druid perspective, Hopman recreates the daily life, magical practices, politics, and spiritual lives of the ancient Celts during this historic turning point. Druid holy days, rites, rituals, herbal lore, and more are brought to life in this Celtic fantasy―illuminating Druidic teachings and cultural wisdom. #druid#druidry#elleneverthopman#ellenhopman#bookstagram#bibliophile#librocubicularist#bookrecommendations#goodreads#witchbooks#witchesofinstagram#zoemarriott#booklover#booklovers#bookwitch
Summary: A story loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Wild Swans." Alexandra, 15, is the daughter of a powerful king and a wise queen. Like her mother, she has the gift of the ancient ways, but her talents aren't fully developed.
Shadows have fallen across their beautiful and lush Kingdom. The queen was attacked by an unnatural beast, and the healing skills of her daughter, Alexandra, cannot save her. Too soon the widowed king is spellbound by a frightening stranger - a woman whose eyes reflect no light. In a terrifying moment, all Alexandra knows disappears, including her beloved brothers, leaving her banished to a barren land unlike her own.
Alexandra has more gifts than even she realizes as she is confronted with magic, murder, and the strongest of evil forces. She is unflinchly brave and clever as she struggles to reclaim what she knows is rightfully hers.
This new voice in fantasy weaves a tale rich in visual detail, peppered with a formidable destructive force, and sweetened with familial and romantic love. Well written with vivid details, this rich tale has a little something for everyone—love, adventure, intrigue, betrayal, friendship, and murder. #bookstagram#bibliophile#librocubicularist#bookrecommendations#goodreads#witchbooks#witchesofinstagram#zoemarriott#booklover#booklovers#bookwitch
If there's one of many books I absolutely love to yhe point of re-reading it, it's Zoë Marriott's The Swan Kingdom and the main protagonist, Alexandria😊I first found it while browsing the school library for a book report and had to have it (though I still haven't had the chance to buy it yet). One thing I loved about it is it's imagery anf how she weaved magick into the story and the way of life of the people. And, whether the author meant to or not, showed early on how it may have first started when the Patriarchy first began to envy the magick of woman then later showed a tidbit of a male witch. They're all called "Cunnings" in the story. It's got ancestor worship, herbal craft (upset the herbs mentioned are fictional, but I'm sure I can find actual counter part) , Energy work (called "mana" in the book), great pep talks, and adventure.😩 But it's one of a kind with no sequels. But something's better than nothing. One of many I'd recommend for a simple magickal read in one's free time. #bookstagram#bibliophile#librocubicularist#bookrecommendations#goodreads#witchbooks#witchesofinstagram#zoemarriott#booklover#booklovers#bookwitch
New Moon in Scorpio: Sacred Darkness 🌑
Phase Influence: 🙏 Rest, reflection. It is in this time we sit with our silence, because it is in this silence that the answers we seek will rise from the pools of our internal void, providing us the poster with which to craft our highest-centered intentions.
Ritual: 🕯Create your sacred space. Let candlelight surround you. Settle into your internal hearth & stoke its fire. Divulge your deepest, most heart-centered desires. Ask for guidance & watch as the sparks from your belly's flame illuminate the darkness with the answers you seek.
Mantra: 💡I Am a Conduit. The Answers I Seek Flow Through Me Now.
