@70lbsoflife's New Year Fitness Challenge: Day 23
I HATE cooking so I need EASY recipes. One of my favorites is this turkey taco meat crockpot recipe! I put everything in a bag and freeze it. Then I just dump the bag in the crockpot and leave it! Of course this time I ran out of a few spices so I will have to add those when I make them!
@70lbsoflife's New Year Fitness Challenge: Day 22
My favorite way to get in my cardio lately has been to go walking while listening to Harry Potter! I look forward to going for walks now!! I definitely recommend finding some good audio books or podcasts to encourage you to get out and walk!
After my guy @teamandrius posted his picture from his last prep I couldn’t help but look back at pictures from my show. -
I can’t decide what I miss more, being this lean or the thought of not having my treat meals. I’ve gone back and forth with the thought of stepping on stage again. I love the discipline of it, but it’s just not something I’m in love with. Setting goals is so important & I’ve been thinking about what I want to accomplish next. -
But man does it feel good to be this lean! 🔪🎲☠️🔪🎲☠️ -
Please share some ideas of another goal I can set for myself 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼#shredded#diced
Spidey says hit the weights, you hit the weights. I also took this sweat compound from @mansports that is supposed to encourage sweat when working out and I gotta day, it works great. They tossed it in my last order for free during a promo and I tried it and it helps for sure. I was never a big sweat guy and this stuff made me sweat a lot. If you just wanna feel like your workout was next level, give it a shot. This isn’t a sponsored thing or anything but if @mansports wants a weight loss surgery athlete hmu, I dig your products. 👍
Will lifting weights make me big and bulky? NOOOOOOO
Ladies, you need to do resistance training (or lifting). First of all we do not have the genetic make up to put on crazy amounts of muscle mass without crazy amounts of calories and extreme supplementation. -
Stop avoiding the weight room. You will not get the sculpted athletic looking body you’re after from sitting on an elliptical or running 1,000,000,000 miles. You need to tear up those muscle fibers & rebuild them with the proper nutrition. Which leads me to my next point. -
You need to EAT! If you are eating low carb, low calorie deficit all the time more than likely your metabolism is completely crashed & you’re spinning your wheels, literally, going nowhere! -
If you’re not sure how much you should be eating, if you don’t have a lifting routine, or you’re just in need of guidance, please hire a coach. I don’t care if it’s me, but hire someone who you trust & that cares about your progress. Talk to them, if you don’t feel taken care of and confident then move on, but stop trying to eat less and workout more! 💪🏼🍳💪🏼🍖💪🏼🍠 #Transformation
You never, ever, ever know where your life is going to take you... This surgery and lifestyle change has taken my life and flipped it on it’s head. I started this journey in September of 2016 and had surgery in May of 2017. I was engaged and thought I was happy and living the life I wanted and needed. But the truth is, I never felt good enough for that man or that life. I relied too much on him for my happiness because I had none within myself. He just wasn’t the one. 🤷🏻♀️ I moved from NY to LA in search of me and I found her! She was hiding under a lot of bullshit, but I stripped everything away and fell in love with the woman I am. I got my own apartment. I scored my dream job. I found my happy in the small things. And somehow, this really great and handsome guy snuck in there too. I want for NOTHING. My life is mine and I hold it in the highest regard. I have the best friends, the best family and the best support system. I’m so happy in this moment, I could burst. This is what life is about... Finding out what you’re really made of, gaining independence and realizing you’re ENOUGH. I made this life of mine a reality, and I’m enough. Every other good thing is icing on the cake my friends. 🙌🏻♥️💋
This post brought to you by the letter P for pustules and pap🤢 #gross Chin is breaking out from god knows what. I would blame my indulgent weekend but they started popping up before that. I’ve been taking really good care of my skin so it’s a big F U. Thanks hormones and weight loss toxins. And that Insta-worthy bowl of mush? Um, DELICIOUSNESS. Non-fat, plain Greek yogurt, sugar-free cheesecake jell-o mix, a little Splenda, and some graham cracker crumbs. Oh wow. Dessert that is low-carb AND high-protein? 🤤Other than that, had a really fun weekend with my people but am feeling a bit bloated because food is good, especially bad food🤷🏻♀️Bummed that I missed my lunchtime walk both Friday and today because work has been a bit hectic - those walks really help my anxiety and put me in a good, “I should be healthy” mindset to make better food choices. Hope things calm down a bit tomorrow so I can get back in my groove 😎 #vsgbabe#vsglife#wls#wlscommunity#wlsjourney#weightloss#weightlossjourney#edrecovery#postop#recovery#surgery#obesity#vsgeats#vsgdiet#goals
#transformationtuesday Cardigan style! I posted the photo on the left 9/7/17 celebrating a #NSV of being able to button up my cardigan around my body which I could never do before. Today I took this selfie (as I always do) and just now realized the difference! I am so happy my tummy is getting smaller. Its the part I am MOST self conscious about and the part I feel is not budging at all during this journey but this transformation helps me keep things in perspective!
Losing weight isn't easy. It's hard. Harder still is coming so far and feeling so far away from where you want to be. I got word a few months back that my insurance will in no way consider covering any skin removal surgery. Not only is this a weight on my shoulders because I'm fighting to like what I see in the mirror, but this unseemly skin causes countless issues with my joints. But some days... some days it's about loving this sweater and how it fits and the color and how it looks until you look down and realize... I will never be able to simply wear what I want. I will always be hiding the parts of me I don't feel brave in - not out of embarrassment but because I would rather flaunt what I'm proudest of. I would rather people not know automatically that I've lost a lot of weight. I want a semblance of normal. The mental struggle is real! #wls#wlsstories#wlsjourney#wlscommunity#wlsinstacrew#vsg#vsgjourney#vsgcommunity#vsginstacrew#vsgtransformation#sleevedlife
Okay sooo I buy protein bars and for me it alwaysss has a chalky taste to them! Like is it just me orrr?? Soo I’ve never ask a question on here but which ones are decently good?? I like this one but only the outter part cause it’s chocolate and has crunchies in it lol but I need a good one to like!! Thank you!!
I was scanning the gym today while working out and was thinking that every person in this gym has “started” at one point or another. First time walking into the gym, first time joining a gym, first workout, first PR, etc. We’ve all started somewhere, we’ve all been the new guy in this journey. We should support one another and cheer each other on. I loved what @bryanrichards_fit said in his story and I feel the same way. I don’t care who you are, what walk of life you come from, what you look like, what you support for beliefs, whether you’re at day 1 or day 100 I support you!! We’re all in this journey together! And as we become more confident in our success always remember to look back at where you came from. Not one of us is perfect in our journey - that’s what makes it our journey. If this was easy, we’d all be able to do it. Remember to be kind to one another, provide support, offer kind words of encouragement and/or advice when needed. Be the type of person that you would want others to see you as.
Should you ever need an atta girl/guy I’m here! Should you need to talk it out, I’m here! Should you need a you can do it or a high five, I’m here. Because I support you - and as far as I’m concerned you are killing it!
