Chest muscles are feeling the full tilt of yesterday.
Now sets in the real anticipation of Waterloo, and everything I do this week will be nice and easy to conserve for the four race weekend. Things are changing on the course for me; I'm not getting distracted, complacently letting an attack slide without throwing my own punches, or letting race-day heat tempt me into unwise decisions. Although fourth place is a thorn in my side, I am content with how I rode. Decisive, focused, and intent is what I have needed to be for so long.
F L O W • What does it actually mean to 'find your flow'? Have you ever been so "in the zone" that you can feel completely focused on the task at hand, but also completely lost in it? It's like you have this awareness of what's going on because your 'present' and 'in the moment' but you also get 'lost in time' because everything is happening so fluidly. You know that you are right where you need to be, doing exactly what you need to be doing. To me that's 'FLOW'. It sounds like a dream right? Well I think it kind of is! I listened to sooo many podcasts, read lots of books, and have done an incredible amount of 'seeking flow' for my own self over the past few years. I am getting there, but I have far from mastered the art. Although, I don't believe we ever master it completely... Finding flow is one of our greatest missions in life. In our search to find 'flow' we find our true self, and in finding our true self we continue to learn, grow and evolve, and the process continues. ❤️ So why would I be posting this in a 'Women's Health Physio' Insta? Well because as a therapist my aim is to help YOU find your FLOW! 🌸 When I say I use an 'holistic approach' to therapy, I don't just mean I look 👀 at your body as a whole. I also consider the 'mind, body, soul' connection. No this isn't 'hippy BS'... This is REAL stuff! Our fears, our purpose, our goals, our mindset, our relationships, our internal battles- all of this has an impact our health & wellbeing. As women and particularly Mums, our health impacts the health of those around us 👨👩👧👦. Long story short (or maybe not so much) over the coming weeks I want to share with you my continued journey in finding my flow. I want to give you some of the hints, tips and tricks that I have learnt both through my own personal discovery and from others in hope that you too can start/continue your journey to finding your flow 😊
There is 4 in the bed and the little one said roll over 🎶. You can't see my big girl here, but she is there snuggling in beside us, as we do almost every night. Sleep deprivation is hard, snuggling in is lovely - but also hard when you have an elbow or knee jabbing into you every other minute, sleep training is also hard- so there is no easy way out, other than to know that these days won't last forever- so we cherish them 💕💕
@cyclingweeklymagazine. It's appalling that a member of your team thinks this way and even bigger disaster that your editorial team haven't picked it up. Shame on you. I think the cycling club featured are justifiably fuming. Hinkley CC is chaired by Eleanor Mather, their press secretary is another woman called Nicola Alexander and the article was written by one Hannah Bussey for Cycling Weekly. And what I get out of it, is how proactive and inclusive the club is. Disgusting that they have been let down by this stupid, inappropriate picture caption written by an immature, sexist idiot. I will be sending a very rude letter to the editor, feel free to join me.
I might even be encouraging members of #widgerspokeasies , my ALL women cycling club, to send the Picture Editor mug shots of themselves labelled "I'm an active member of a British cycling club not a token attractive woman!". #genderinequality#girlsridetoo#womenincycling#rants#mediamistakes#womeninsport#sexismatwork
I have an entire goal setting workbook that I created a while ago. I am about to dive a little deeper and make it a whole lot better, but before I do this I want to know. What do you struggle with most when it comes to setting your health, firm and wellbeing goals?

This is what the journey looks like recovering from an injury and 4 months off the bike. Never give up. Even when sometimes it feels like you are so far behind its pointless. I remember I was an emotional mess after that test in February, I couldn't believe how much that time off had set me back. Then finally this today. Commitment. Perseverance. Persistence. Progress. The only way is up 😈👊🏼 #justgettingstarted .

How gorgeous is Ali and her tiny lil baby bump🤰 ••• @alittlebitof_ali asked for some simple guidance to get her through the next couple of months and of course I was very happy to oblige 😊
Bubby peaking out of the running top this morning 👶🏼🙈 Slowing down now but still enjoying running. 🏃🏽♀️My style is completely different than normal, really short strides and not much lift. Received some awesome advice this week from @taryn_gaudin to help me run safely 🙏 Very grateful 💕 #16weekspregnant
