If you have kids you know that sometimes they need a little help calming themselves. I posted a video earlier that talks about essential oils to use at bedtime to help kids sleep through the night but this roller bottle blend can be used through out the day to help kids stay calm and relaxed. It can also be used as part of the bedtime routine by rolling on their spine and the bottom of their feet. Get them involved and have them put the oils on their feet themselves. The more you get your kids involved and loving the oils the more likely they will use them regularly. The key to essential oils is to use small amounts frequently so keep this roller out on your counter and swipe your kids with it through out the day 😉

Anyone else guilty of not training their core nearly as much as they should? 🙋🏻♀️
When training core, a lot of times people hop right into doing sit-ups or leg raises or whatnot because they want to see defined ab muscles. And, while these exercises will work your core muscles, they’re not the best exercises if haven’t built the foundation for a stable core or you’re a beginner.
There are 3 different core musculature systems and you’ll want to make sure you strengthen the first ones before moving on to the next (think of it like building a house and you need a solid foundation first). The 3 systems are:
▫️Local Stabilization System: these are all the muscles that stabilize your spine and are the foundation for a stable and strong core. If you haven’t properly trained these muscles and they aren’t strong enough to keep your spine in place, then you don’t want to move on to training the other core muscles because you’ll likely perform the exercises incorrectly due to not having a stable foundation and leave yourself susceptible to injury. Exercises that strengthen these muscles involve very little spine movement (again, to focus on stabilization), such as floor prone cobra (shown above).
▫️Global Stabilization System: these muscles attach the pelvis to the spine and, therefore, provide stabilization between them and help to transfer loads between your upper extremity and lower extremity. Planks are a great example of an exercise that forces you to stabilize your spine & core.
▫️Movement System: these are all the muscles that attach your spine and pelvis to your extremities (i.e. legs). They produce concentric force & eccentric deceleration, and this is where you can start implementing dynamic exercises like leg raises, bicycle crunches, pikes, etc.
If you don’t have a strong core or are new, I’d recommend focusing on stabilization exercises for 4-6 weeks before moving on to more dynamic ones. Questions? Comment them below!

It’s like this little switch in my brain that goes, “oh you on a diet?! Haha 😆 Let me remind you that you hungry .... every 10 seconds!” 🙈
Well for one I don’t believe in diets anymore. I did the diet thing for like 20 years (yup I’m getting older... like a fine wine 🍷😉), I have no interest in being freaking hungry or feeling deprived anymore‼️
So I don’t. I EAT! In fact I eat 7 meals a day 🙌
So there’s no starving here! Yet I stay healthy and fit. Because diets are garbage. When you eat delicious healthy food, your body thrives, and so do you!✌️
I love me some Mexican, some Thai, some any type of food 😂
So please I’m begging you, no diets, no starvation, none of that crazy business! Just eat like you love yourself! 💕

We delve into 2 important things in this episode. The first is that being stressed ACTUALLY makes us feel hungry. This is why you are feeling cravings when you're stressed. It's so much more effective to actually look at the big picture and address your stress rather than fighting cravings. *

My sister recently shared a story about a girl here in NZ who got TSS and got really unwell really quickly. It bought to light to me that we chicas really need to talk more about what’s going into our bodies other than food - namely period care! We have been taught that periods are a horrid time and to dread them and just plug up and get on with it. (Yep I went there). But it’s actually not supposed to be all doom and gloom - and this is coming from a gal who’s been battling PMDD for almost a year now. Our cycle is a sacred time for nourishing, rest, self care & connection with ourselves and other females and it’s not even supposed to have all those whacked out symptoms! That brings me to tampons and pads - it’s SUPER freakin important what you’re putting in and around there team. Most tampons and pads are laden with chemicals - herbicides, pesticides, bleach just to name a few. And our tissue down there is like a sponge, all these toxins go straight into our blood stream - no passing through the liver & kidneys for detoxification, just a straight highway to our inner organs. All these toxins are known endocrine disrupters - read PMS, Endometriosis, PCOS, acne....and that’s just the endocrine side. There are organic options out there and my fav is @organicinitiative because they’re at pretty much all supermarkets and they’re around the same price as the others so why wouldn’t ya?!
