I'm soooo looking forward to frolicking in these gorgeous mountains! Want to come with me to practice yoga, soak in hot springs and hike in the changing colors? There are two spots left on my weekend retreat in Buena Vista, CO this September. Check the details on my site (link in bio) and come join in the fun!
Hiked eight miles out and back today in the nearby mountains of Reykjavik. The hike lead to some nearby geothermal hot springs where we soaked in a sulfuric river for about an hour before we headed back to town.
Guys. I have an announcement to make. After doing some number crunching, and a long day of hard considerations, I have decided to bypass 500 miles of the PCT right now to continue my hike northbound from Chester, CA. The Sierra has been beautiful and I have been so grateful to have an incredible crew by my side to travel through them, however, the copious snow and sketchy river crossings have brought our daily mileage average down to around 10, and I have realized that I will need to hike over 20 a day for the rest of my trip to finish in time for following obligations. I will finish this section at the end of my hike, when conditions are more favorable and a higher daily mileage is possible again. Love all my hiker trash friends in this little bubble we've been making our way up to Canada in- I hope to see you all up the trail. ❤️#pct#pctig#pct2017#pacificcresttrail

So I was surprised to see how kids in this village begged for chocolates instead of money. At first I thought it was just one girl asking for a chocolate. But the moment I offered her one, an entire gang of street kids started chasing our car out of nowhere.
The boy who managed to grab the chocolate from my hand was in trouble as all the kids were now after him. I wonder if their parents teach them to ask for chocolates and candies or was it just a rare incident that happened with me 🤔
Nashville's Centennial Park has everything: lush greenery, peaceful ponds, and the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Monument. Unveiled just last year, it features five women who fought for women's right to vote in Tennessee - which was critical for securing women's suffrage at the national level. You can thank artist Alan LeQuire for this beautiful way of honoring these suffragists (not suffragettes! more on that later...) 💪🏼

HUGE thanks to @visionaryphotofilm for this amazing video!!
Falling in love with this place & its
flow of long, sticky days easing
into lush nights;
I have a migraine and this 17th century poem trapped inside my throbbing head, but it's only the first verse that I remember: "no man is an island".
I feel that in everything around me,
in trembling lights and in the smooth air
filling in the spaces between people.
All is crowned by this simple, circular truth, embedded into the fabric of every minute,
being constantly reaffirmed
over and over again.
Growing up, I was always getting criticized for being too skinny. Now I can get criticized for being too muscular. I read articles about people being criticized for being too curvy, too "disproportional" , too flat, too round, too big, too small. The point is, no matter who you are, and what you look like, someone out there could potentially judge you.... so lets try our best to embrace each others beauty, because we are in fact, all beautiful. Take the time to compliment someone today, and take the time to compliment yourself. 🙂 ❤ #climber#climbing#canada
I absolutely love traveling solo because I've learned to enjoy taking myself on little dates. It's always nerve-wracking and sometimes, it's a little lonely. Take this time I was spending the night—alone—at the most romantic hotel in Burgundy. I was feeling sorry for myself until I decided to get up, go explore, crack open some beers with my bike pedal, and row my damn self around the pond. If I hadn't? Well, I would have never known that this particular hotel lets their brood of MINATURE HORSES graze on the lawn at dusk. You can't see them in the video, but, you guys, it was magic. 🙌 #havefunoutthere#solotraveler#tbt
