December 2nd @ Stone Village Gallery “Where the Sun Now Stands.” Those familiar with my work know it has always been rooted in spirit animals and totems. After a recent visit to the Pacific Northwest, I was inspired to create a collection that pays homage to this style of art, and dive a bit deeper. We spent some time on the Quiluete Reservation and it was beautiful. The beaches, the forest, the sunsets. We did some amazing hiking and visited a number of local galleries and shops. While I was there, I began to dream up this collection. This show is heavily inspired by Native American art and stories. As I researched and took inspiration from history, legends and artwork, I decided I wanted to give back. I will be donating a percentage of sales from this collection to American Indian College Fund. I’m excited to share this collection with everyone, as it has been a real journey for me. I hope everyone enjoys the new work and look forward to seeing you at the show!
Things are getting FISH-y up in the shop! Time to turn this not so random pile of wood into something special. Kudos to my good friend @curious_iron for the letters! Excited to use them a little later in the build..
