For round forms, the curvature and crank of the hook knife dictates a certain depth to diameter ratio that cannot be exceeded without chattering. The key is to clean up the shape before reaching this point and then to ghost up to it, making each of the last cuts cleanly. The blunt tip on @templemtn_matt hook helps to keep the surface track free .
Think about your dreams as if they were an immediate possibility! I think the most fatal choice you can make for achieving your dreams is to believe they are an adventure for the future. You start out believing they are a year or two or ten away from achieving so you believe the process can be put off a day or two or ten. You wake up everyday thinking about your dreams and the second you step out of bed, life happens. Coffee needs to be made, laundry washed, kids fed, washed, changed, fed again etcetera etcetera etcetera! You go to bed believing that the next day or next Monday is a great place to start “because, well, this week is wasted. Let’s start on Monday!” Work on it today even just a little! Do this everyday and you’ll find that the progress compounds and it’s not actually as far as you originally thought.
Why is this so important? Why would I care what your dreams are? Why would anyone? It really only impacts you right? If you don’t achieve it then it’s your loss, no one else’s! Isn’t it?
That belief is grossly inaccurate! Those dreams impact us all! Whether you work with wood, paint, lighting, clay, book writing, foster parenting, missionary work. It doesn’t matter what it is. We are all impacted. You achieve your dream and you encourage us to fight for ours. You show us what it takes. You show us it is achievable. You teach valuable lessons to your children and their friends. Something will be missing for all of us if you don’t fight.
It is polished according to new technology, impregnated in a new composition, covered with paste, tactile sensations are simply unreal, you do not want to let go of it 😂👌🏼
Отшлифована по новой технологии, пропитана в новом составе, покрыта пастой, по тактильным ощущениям просто нереальная, ее не хочется выпускать из рук😂👌🏼
Part of the making of from my last Trophy for @dueloeneldesierto! I promise take better videos to actually see more of the real process, since I barely appear carving in this one.
Aquí os dejo una pequeña parte del proceso de creación de mi último trofeo para el @dueloeneldesierto. Mejoraré mis videos para que podáis ver un poco más del proceso, ya que en este apenas salgo tallando!
I have very much enjoyed getting into a groove of working with exotic hardwoods recently for all my mallets and cutting boards, but it is surprisingly refreshing to start a simple birch plywood project where I get to break out this Kreg K5 👍🏼 Anyone else working on a ply project these days? @kregjig & @ridgidpowertools
