It’s often a strange thing, getting to know people....
Some may seem at once plain, but are later revealed as heroic; inspiring; noble.
For others, the reverse holds true.
Often we fall unexpectedly in love with a fictional character from a movie, or a book.
And a man may fall in love with a Scarlett O’Hara. But of course, there is no Scarlett O’Hara: it’s only Vivian Leigh, playing the role of Scarlett. Until, eventually the role is revealed as a charade; a pantomime; a deception....
And as before, the reverse holds true.
It’s often a strange thing, getting to know people...
“This, above all, to thine own self be true...”

This #Proverb has actually been a prayer of mine for years. Tonight I find this scripture to match my hearts cry. I know I am called to wealth. But, I always say; " Lord, don't give me a penny more than what will seperate my heart from you." This Proverb speaks to the equal medium. We learn so much when we still need God. When we leave that place ...it becomes harder for some to keep God close. Live for God and want nothing else but to please him whether rich or poor. Peace and Love

Every now and then, we may experience "one of those days" where everything seems to work against us, and we find ourselves in a lower mood. And that's so normal. The beauty of life is that no matter our external backdrop, we can choose to press the reset button within. By breathing. Relaxing. Moving our bodies. Letting go. Having fun. Our minds are constantly in motion, and we can learn to observe our thoughts and feelings without internalizing them or interfering with them more than we need to. Thoughts naturally come and go, so why hold on to them? Yes, there are times when we've got to work through certain thoughts and feelings to release them and move forward but even then, we have to ultimately make a choice to release and allow new thought and emotion to flow in. Remember, whatever you feel is not your (permanent) reality. Go about your day. Do something enjoyable. Chill out. Find something good in your not so good day. Identify what you may have learned. Exhale the challenges of the day. Call it a day...call it a night. And love yourself for the wonderful human being that you are. The shadow will soon pass and sunshine and clarity will pour in!
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light ✨not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
We're on this road together. Whether I'm driving at the moment or on the passenger side, truth is, neither of us have to be here. I could be anywhere in the world, and I know you could too. Let's not take that for granted.
When I'm driving, the fact that you mind the audio, the temperature, and remind me of my speed as you watch out for the cops doesn't only make you special, it makes you amazing. I would never look at you as if you're just being a good person, or simply doing what a normal passenger should do. That would be taking you for granted.
I need you aware of the fact that when I'm not driving. I won't be the same kind of passenger as you. Instead of minding the radio, I might be holding the map. Instead of controlling the temperature, I might strike up an intimate conversation to keep you from falling asleep at the wheel. Or instead of watching your speed, I might make sure we have quarters in line for the next tolls. Please don't take that for granted.
I'm not going to tell you how to hold the steering wheel, or how to sit behind the wheel while you're driving, and when I'm driving, I certainly won't complain if you decided to rest so you can focus when it's your turn again. I won't take you for granted like that.
Truth is... There is no extra mile. There is no driving out of the way because we're making the path as we go. The fact that you would rather complain about the journey makes you a hard person to roll with, and all any of us really want is someone to ride out with, in peace. But I guess that's just me, and if I asked you to stop being a back-seat driver, you'd feel like the fact that you're in the car would be taken for granted.

It’s okay to feel 👎🏼 sometimes. Lately, it’s taken all my energy just to keep a smile on my face. And that’s okay! I’ve been crying more lately—and that’s okay! We need more tears in this world. 💦 I’ve been eating my feelings more lately—and that’s okay too! We need to allow ourselves to feel peace with food vs. feelings. 🍦 Life is too short, too precious, and too wonderful to worry about the way we look in a mirror or a number on a scale. Love Love LOVE yourself, and everything else will follow suit. ❤️
