(Heads up, long post)
// Life //
Two people, a close friend that I've known since I was a toddler, and a random stranger at the gas station, asked me this week what my major was and I am literally thrilled when I get to explain it and why I chose it. I'm going to be in school for a while because I'm wanting to go for my masters, but God's will His way. My major that I am doing is nursing, pediatric nursing, to be more specific. How did I choose nursing, well I have/had many great friends in my life choosing the medical route as well and I never truly thought about it because my goal was to become a missionary. I walked into my church one day and they played a video from a recent missions trip. On the screen was a pastors daughter administering medical assistants (she's a nurse) to the people in need. That, that was the moment I knew what I wanted to do with my life. You see, my life is not my own, I gave my life over to God a long time ago and I felt a tug at my heart ever since my first missions trip to continue the journey He has me on. This journey seems like a long ways away, but it's coming and I get to learn more as I go. I know that school will take a while, but it is so worth it knowing where God is calling me. I knew that whatever career path I go on, I want to reflect Christ to others and live His word out. I want to go to the countries that don't have the means that we do, and be able to help them and show them Jesus. Working with children and families has been my passion since I started my elementary volunteering in 2007 and elementary coordinating in 2013. God literally knows what He's doing and all I have to do is trust Him. #learningtobecontent#workinghard#trustingGod#thankful#grateful#growing#learning#understanding#LoveGodLoveOthers#mymajor#andwhy#sorryitssolong
My day is still yet to be finished. Want to shout out to Jennifer Binde for letting us come over and helping me get some sassafrass saplings and leaves. I probably won't be able to get them strung up tonight, but I have the saplings in water, and the leaves are laid out on the table.
Not all piled up like the picture.
It's been a doozy of a day, between caring for the critters and kids, mowing the grass, baking a homemade apple pie, folding two loads of laundry, washing and hanging one out to dry, and being there to help a team member add two new ambassador's to her team. Been a doozy, but filled with blessings, friends and visits. Tomorrow will be a day of resting,fasting and renewal. Dont expect any sunrise pictures put of me in the morning.
