🤔 *When you’re in a dialogue, in person, how do you use body language to refer to yourself and emphasize “I / me / my .... / or mine“ ? •
I’ve struggled to get my athletes to understand the False Grip until recently.
Failed attempts to teach the false grip:
“Show me your guns 💪🏽 “
“Think of punching yourself in the chest 🤛🏽 “
Just demo the false grip and explain its importance.
NONE OF THE ABOVE WORKED for the whole class. It worked for a couple of people... These “cues” resulted in confusion such as: “I don’t get it.” “What are you talking about?” “Am I doing this right?” “How should this false grip feel like?” “Isn’t it pretty much the same as the normal grip?” •
The other day I just told myself: let’s roll and go with the flow. I didn’t prepare for the false grip skills session. Thankfully an idea popped in my head and I gave it a shot! 💡 • ————⬆️Back to the question of using body language to say “I / me / my.... / mine” *Chinese got a peculiar way to refer to themselves: index finger pointing to the face or chest👉👈 •
I pointed to myself and said “I”, and I asked my athletes to do the same, they imitated so naturally! Then I asked them to do that with both hands and hold the position. Voilà: that’s the False Grip! •
EVERYBODY got it! And they will remember! In that moment I thought to myself: “Wow, I’m a genious!” - For a second, I felt like a million bucks!
There was a mix of surprise and skepticism in the room. Because of the simple and easy cue, some were excited they got it right, others were wondering what the catch was. •
It just so happened to be a breakthrough in their understanding of the false grip. They immediately knew how to get to the position and how to maintain it. • *Find something your audience can relate to.
What is cupping 🤔?? We get asked this all the time when we send people home with big hickies all over their body 😬
Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine where a therapist puts special cups on your skin to create suction. It is used for many purposes including to help with pain inflammation blood flow relaxation and well-being and as a type of deep tissue massage 💆🏻♂️💆🏻♀️
Why does it give you hickies? “The vacuum formed by Cupping draws up the old non-circulating stagnant blood and sticky fluids from the area, bringing them up to the surface and away from the injury so that healthy free circulation can be restored to the affected area, thus creating space for oxygen, living cells and nutrients for faster recovery.” -cuppingtherapy.org
Knowledge is power, learn something new everyday 📚💪🏻
I love this simple formula for Ego. Einstein has said it all. You will agree that, those who have a scanty idea or knowledge of a subject matter turn to be repulsive and aggressive due to their degree of their ego. In an argument these people expose clearly their ignorance and lose their respect from others. If your ego is high, you might not be coach able or even bother to make enquires, and that's a big problem my friend. The best solution to ego from this formula is to increase your knowledge capacity in all aspects of your life.
Jeff Bezos is the second most richest man on earth currently. The Amazon CEO can be seen in this picture in his early days sitting behind a PC and working in a not too well organised office. Now these things are a thing of the past. Nobody remembers the days of his hustle any longer. His hard work has paid off and so even without owning any physical shop, his AMAZON is the biggest place where the world shops. This is a clear description of impossible is nothing. Look at this picture over and over again and never give up on your dream. All you need is to believe in yourself and your dream, work towards it and avoid naysayers. You can make it.
So important! How are you supposed to move forward if you're constantly being pulled backwards?? Working on healing my mental, physical, emotional and spiritual self. Might not seem like this is necessary but project me is a full time deal.
Say word. I just got a crazy early birthday gift. Masterclass just bust me down for a year free because I already bought two classes last year. Happy New Year Everyone!
Hope, you are laying out what is it you want to go after this year, and how you want 2018 to be different than 2017!
The steps to achieving your goals and being successful.
1) Decide- make a decision. Decide to be better, and expect the absolute most out of yourself, decide to draw the line in the sand today to raise the bar and demand more from yourself. Decide your time is now! It takes the same amount of energy to make a decision to do something that will help you, as it does to make a poor decision that will hurt you. Make the Decision to be your best.
2) Commit- commit to achieving your goals. Commit to progress and being better each day. Commit to not allow little things to detour you from ultimate goal.
3) Act- Take Action! Knowledge is useless without taking action. Act Now!
4) Succeed- achieve a level of success and continue to raise the bar, never allowing yourself to become complacent and also never forget where you have come from.
REPEAT - this piggybacks off of #4 , whenever you reach your goal or reach a level of success you must continue to reevaluate what you have accomplished. What worked best, what didn't work, what needs to change going forward to continue to climb, how can you improve. Continue to Sharpen The Saw! Go Back to square one and Decide, Commit, Act, Succeed!
Continuing to rise up and make breakthroughs is an All THE TIME THING!
NOT A SEASONAL THING! NOT A PART-TIME THING!
I've always been a thinker. Since I was a kid I was delving into the very depths of why... Be courageous, be kind and the best version of you. Socialize with people who feeds your soul 🖤

We are all forces of nature-we are constantly moving, or our bodies are working in some way even when we are sleeping-we can only be as strong or as powerful as what we believe so make it a daily practice to work on yourself, for yourself, by yourself👊🏼👊🏼#forcesofnature#harderbetterfasterstronger#weareenergy
