Yesterday I swam. I wasn’t happy with my speed and left the pool tired and a bit frustrated. In the locker room, a woman said “you are an amazing swimmer!” What me? Then she added, “I watched you while I was on the treadmill above. I’d love to swim like that.” Then later, my coach told me my speed test was great and that even though not as strong as my run and bike, that I should own the fact my swim is really good. Going into the @tiglon_ finals last weekend I knew I had 1 weakness: long distance handstand walks. I expected them and there they were: 75m in total. I made a strategy, kept my game plan, enjoyed the workout and managed to finish 14th where I could have ended dead last. Recovering from a shoulder injury didn’t stop @charliftsalot from doing handstand walks, bar muscleups, and lots of overhead stuff with dumbells yesterday. Nor did it stop her from taking 3rd place at the last @tiglon_ finals, and 2nd place in the overall 2017 standing!

Today I worked on pause jerk/split jerk. Nothing crazy about the weight, wanted to better my technique. Followed jerks up with building to a heavyish triple back squat. Ended at 345 and failed on the third rep because I lost my abdominal brace.
Accommodating resistance on bench this morning with resistance bands to create more explosive power and bar speed. By far my weakest lift & if it weren't for @ceej_stewart I would probably continue to avoid it 🙄😂 #onlyupfromhere#workonyourweakness#bandedbenchpress
