Seriously the past two days workouts have not worked out...high temperatures/no a/c, sleeping baby on my chest, fussy baby that did not enjoy squats...those are lame excuses, but I knew they could potentially be my downfall today. So, I planned ahead. I was dressed and ready to go THE SECOND my baby girl laid down for her late afternoon nap. 💤
You know, the more I get used to this “single mom” thing I start to realize I need to plan ahead for what “could” happen. I’ve gotten a few routines down with baby girl, and those things I can usually(<—�ha. ha. Right?) count on happening. First, she’s happy and chill in the morning. So I made adjustments today so I can make AND eat my breakfast in the am, instead of doing dishes and then she starts crying just in time for my breakfast. Second she takes a late afternoon nap that is of decent length, this is where I need to plan my workout. 🏋🏽♀️
I think the most important factors here are that I’m flexible to her needs and mine. I can’t get lost in the process of raising a human. I won’t get lost. I am still a priority. The other factor here is that I’m always noting roadblocks and maneuvering around those. 🔁

Try these workouts on your next leg day for that good burn 🔥 •
1️⃣Straight Leg Cable Kickbacks: try to keep your back straight and dont move your upper body around too much, all the stress and movement should be focus round your legs&glutes•
2️⃣Thigh Abductor: every girls faaaavorite. Try sitting back into your squat as you push out for each rep then sitting back up for your rest, this will put less tension on your muscles and allow you to do heavier weight.•
3️⃣Sideways push downs: These are done on the assisted pull up machine. Keep your body adjacent to the machine, and push down using your quads. •
4️⃣Cross over push downs: One of my favorites to really target those glutes. Make sure to cross your front leg over to the opposite side of the machine and push through with your heel•
5️⃣Laying side kicks: These can be done with a plate of your choice or ankle weights. Keep the plate down just above your knee when doing this exercise.
