Put together a little pre-Thanksgiving workout for y’all 👍 I definitely think Thanksgiving is not a day to worry about what you eat (it’s just one day!) but when I workout before the feast I tend to feel better the whole day and eat healthier, since I’m already feeling good. Hope everyone has an awesome day with family and friends 😍 Let me know if you try this out! This workout is full body with a lower bod emphasis, and is all about high-reps (so weights are lighter)
1. Run .5 mi (sub bike or elliptical!) at a somewhat challenging but not sprint pace
2. 20 Squat jacks with medicine ball press
3. 15 deadlifts
4. 15 barbell squats
5. 16 plank rows (8 per arm)- try to brace core and stay steady
6. 30 weighted glute bridges
7. 10 half-burpee/deadlifts - jump your feet up to the weights and lift from legs, keeping back straight and chest up
8. 10 push-ups
Repeat 3-5 times through!
Today’s motivation: Definitely feel a difference using a resistance band 🍑🔥 to warm up before hitting the weights : I like to do 2 sets of 15 for each workout not including lunges, for lunges I workout each leg for 30 secs totaling 3 minutes 🙃💦 🏋🏾♀️

Tania's been a Y member ever since her husband, Roger, joined the staff team in 2007. "Our kids grew up at the Y. In addition to Child Care, they take swimming, dance, and taekwondo lessons here. Everything is so fast paced these days, but the Y makes it easy for us to spend time together as a family." We love having these #SweatForGood Ambassadors participate in our movement to make the GTA a healthier, happier place to live.
When your shake is completely vegan, soy+dairy free, and tastes good!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 What’s your plan to make it through the holidays? I’m gonna stuff my belly tomorrow then it’s back to clean eating Friday and I’m using this tasty shake as a meal replacement. What’s your plans?
The body benefits from movement. The mind benefits from stillness.
I’m not one who has ever really loved yoga. I like loud music. I like noise. I like to drown out the quiet and fill it with chaos. I like the heart pounding exhaustion.
But I’m finding that the quieter the chaos, the more perceptive I become. I learn a little more. I feel a little more. I am peaceful a little more.
Don’t get me wrong, I love anything and everything about intensity. But challenge yourself to a change of pace from time to time. See what it does for your body and for your mind. #roadtorecovery#explant
Got to get in that pre Thanksgiving workout. Had a 15 year old high schooler ask me how old I was. I told him and he said if am that buff when I am that old I would be happy. I think that was a complement. #workouttime#notgettinganyyounger#biceps#triceps
