Good morning! Let's get those abs a working today! This was one of my fav no crunch core workouts I would do when Z was napping (in the stroller). We both got our into he fresh air, he rested I strengthened!
1๏ธโƒฃKnee Raise side and front pulling the arm down - engage the core by pulling the abs in towards the spine like your "flexing" your six-pack - (I didn't have one hear but I still used my visualization) 3 sets 20 each . Add a calf raise on each pull for bonus
2๏ธโƒฃPlank knee and extend - pull the knee into the chest then lift - not a kick - the leg behind you squeezing the booty 3 sets 20 each side
3๏ธโƒฃ Side plank - over extend the arm above the head, pull the knee up to meet the elbow. Can also do this on the ground or on your elbow. 3 sets 20 each side.

The workout planned for the group was 4 x (1.25 miles at HMP, 400 recovery, 4 x 400 FAST with 100 recovery) and a 400 recovery between sets. I knew I wouldn't do the full 4 going in because it was too much but decided I'd give 3 a shot. Going into this workout I didn't have any expectations because I knew that I'd been running on less sleep this week. ๐Ÿ˜ด However; I surprised myself! Each 1.25 was sub HMP (or at least what I guess HMP would be) and averaged between a 6:30-6:50 for the 400's! Total of 10 miles for the day with a 1 mile warm up and 400 cool down. Sometimes it's nice to be surprised by your self! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

No vid today, but damn I wish I took one. I have a ton of readings to do, but working out is part of my daily routine. You have to make time for the things that are important to you and keep you balanced. Stop making excuses if you want to see changes! Once I finally got to the gym, the mf fire alarm went off and wasted a good 15 min outside waiting. I was so close to leaving because once you lose focus, it's so hard to get yourself remotivated to have a good lift. โ€ข

I busted out a kick ass shoulder workout after giving myself an attitude check. I want to kick things into full gear. I've been slacking lately, so calling it quits won't do me any good. I have goals, and I have to be willing to put in the effort to reach them. I used only plates and dumbbells, stayed in one place, took quick breaks between sets, and pounded out supersets/trisets. After 40 min my shoulders were dead. Like I couldn't lift them without wincing. Sometimes being crunched for time gives you the best workouts. It's all about the mindset. You are capable of so much if you actually push yourself! Don't let the inconveniences get in the way of your goals and progress. Take things as they come and find a way to put a positive spin on them. โ€ข
