[The Descision: Part 6] Exploring Seattle & Leavenworth did not make our descision much easier. They're beautiful. Washington is so picturesque, and perfectly located to explore some of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world, plus my favorite country, Canada! But decision time was coming soon. I waited nervously, checking my email every single day for an offer.
Meanwhile, we reached some portion of a decision. We decided that the Gap Year option, while magical and dreamy and fun and YOLO-filled, was not the right move for us. We didn't want to uproot ourselves yet again to essentially run away from our problems, and it didn't make sense for Jeremy's career to delay getting his teaching credential. It came down to 2 options: stay in the Bay Area, or move to Seattle.
If we stayed in the Bay Area, I needed to get realistic about what I wanted to do. And my heart was not in the job I've been working. It's back at home, working on my blog every night until bedtime, Instagramming on my lunch hour and Pinteresting on the train into work every day. So I told my new employer that I wanted to revert to part time hours, and they agreed to find a replacement for me ASAP. I told my recruiter not to look for other opportunities for me. I wanted to stay home. I wanted to work on my blog.
But I still hadn't heard from my dream job ... and I didn't know if we would be staying or moving. What do you think our decision will be?
