For today's #SpotlightSunday we're featuring one of our long-time treasured Woofur family members. Loki the Leonberger came to Woofur when she was just 6 months old. From her big, floppy paws to her beautiful brown eyes, the Woofur team fell in love instantly. •
She was the pup that everyone wanted to be friends with- and she wanted to be friends with everyone, too. Her warm, happy, and loving energy could be felt from across the room- especially when her sister Flowers was with her. The dynamic duo was unstoppable, and soon their size matched their big hearts. Loki caught the eye of Jack the lab and Colt the great dane (among many others), and they spent many an afternoon playing together. •
Earlier this year Loki began displaying symptoms of something more going on. Her body ached, and she was frequently ill. Some tests confirmed what her family feared... Loki had bone cancer. The tough decision was made to have her front leg amputated to try to give her the best chance at overcoming this disease. •
The road of recovery has been hard, especially on her humans. But as usual, Loki has sprinted through the finish line and come out a victor. The surgery was a smashing success, and today you can find Loki resuming her usual role of trying to sneak goodies off of the kitchen counter and jumping into mom's front seat of her car as her co-pilot! Her happy, carefree nature is back and her confidence is returning.
Her sister Flowers and their family have been the most incredible, supportive crew she could've asked for during this time. We are so proud to announce that she'll be returning to Woofur very soon- and we'll be waiting with open arms. We love Loki so much, and are honored that she's a part of our family.💚#livelikeloki#hero
