Blackcat is a magazine that will write about music, about life and about translation.
Why translation? Well, Blackcat also wants to give its space to a profession that, most of the times, is invisible and taken for granted.
Blackcat is made by just another dot in this world in love with music, writing and translation, that's it.

Shoot toward the moon,
A landslide of flames
Black air glows alive.
How can you possibly hold this
In your mortal human hands?
Tornadoes of ash,
Dance across valleys
Then fall at your feet.
The sky knows when
It’s time to let go.
Don’t you know?
Your hands weren’t meant
To hold this raw fire,
But your heart was.
Rise up with the clouds
Let the ashes float below,
Blessings echo more clearly
Through the unfiltered sun.
Let go with your hands.
Hold on with your heart.
Give love room to breathe.
I know, when life gets tough, it’s not easy to keep your head up all the time. The reality is, it’s not just tough for you. Many people are going through their own tunnel of misfortunes seeing no light out, and that’s how they all have their characters constantly tested. Many admit defeat and never become anything more. Most live a mediocre life and settle for whatever is at their feet.
However, a good few rise above their circumstances and turn hardship into opportunities to learn and grow. They know the importance of perseverance and resilience to success and they prove to themselves that they’ve got what it takes to turn their life around.
Now, which one do you want to be? What choice are you going to make? What story are you going to tell yourself in 10 years’ time? What are you going to do right at this moment?
See, you always have choices and in hard times, quitting is the easier option. It suddenly hits you that this is it.
So, be brave and answer yourself this simple question: Are you going to take action?
If you dare to say yes — the yes to who you want to be and the life you want to lead, you’ve given yourself the chance to succeed, and in fact, you’re already half way there. Because it means when life gives you lemon, your choice is to let it drive you and change you and make you a better person. (Read more tinglymind.com)
Book progress update!
So before I can start on the third chapter (which I've already had to rewrite mind you) I have to put down some past information about the main character's parents and the events that's brought up in the third chapter. At this moment, I'm debating if I want to break up the first chapter into two because of the year difference. I feel like such a big time jump (one year difference) needs to have a chapter break. Then again, from my second to third chapter presently, I have literally a few hours difference and I'm worried people are going to think I'll continue the time jumping when, in fact, I just needed that one year difference because nothing was going on during that time that was needed for noting besides in the timeline (yes, I have a timeline. It's needed to keep birthdays, events, and other shit contained in something that's not my brain (not that I don't have a character sheet to keep that straight *hard cough*).
I'm going to do more of these, but of course I can't go into great details because it's going to be a published story *stories*.
Embracing the soft, sensual and feminine. Flowers adorning my body reflecting the bloom I feel within. For so long I didn’t feel feminine. Perhaps because I saw harshness in myself, dirty words, body hair. Traits that I believed deprived me of identifying wholly with the gentle being that always existed within me. But now I know and I feel - the I exist as both. We all exist as both. Coexistence within a soul trying to navigate this world with grace. Embodying a balance of strong and sensual. Of earth and of air. Learning to dance in both states. No matter your vessel, you are beautiful. No matter your mix, you are worthy of love. Walk your own line. Own your divine balance. We all exist as both. 🌸🌷🌻
*thinking to myself, not to my head haha.
Is it not insane how we can neighbor a moment as a moment affects a neighbor? Why do our orbits intersect ever so slightly? Everyone always says every day counts...well, they are both right and wrong. Every second counts.
What is hope? Hope is that little bit of light that comes flooding in when you're in complete darkness. It's the brightness that comes when we weren't even promised a single ray of light. It removes the veil from our eyes so that we may see our way and it guides until we find a way out. Hope is what allows us to still dream even when our nightmares consume us. The embers of hope scatter in the distance, igniting flames for miles. They burn bright empowering us to keep fighting and moving. It's the most powerful thing anyone can have, because you will always find a way no matter what. Hope. Never let go of it. It's the only thing that gets you through 🕯 #hope#words#wisdom#motivation#beautiful#black#white#room#light#dark#contrast#shadows#quotes#success#strong#writer#art#creative#writing#inspiration
