CHAPTER SIX: Consequences.
Part one: #Wulfgar
Check #61PREQUELCrownHunt for complete story
Seven Years before the Events of the Story, Wulfgar joins a squad of stormcloaks to find the Jagged Crown and brings it back to Ulfric, being promoted to Stormblade for his actions. -
"I have your crown, Lord Ulfric." . "Ah, My friend. a Crown does not make a king. But, I thank you. You've done well. and let's see here...Hmmm, your service will not be ignored. For your valor and intelligence, and the help you were in finishing this quest, I raise you to Stormblade. Rise, Wulfgar, Stormblade of the Nordic Army." And that, was how I got my rank.
of course, Then, I became the Stormlord. or one of the Seven Stormlords.
but that is a story for another day.
I had the Crown. "I have the Crown." . "Return to Windhelm. Tell Ulfric he owes me a drink. oh, and give him the Crown and this letter." . "What about you?" . "We'll see if there's anything of value we can find here."
In a Hall of Honoring, A Draugr was sitting on a throne. a Draugr with the Jagged Crown on his head. "Wait" I said, "Isn't Borgas supposed to have been eaten by the Bosmer in their Wild Hunt?" "Don't question the Skyrim lore, Child"
by releasing the lever, I released the gate.
but also, the only thing keeping these Draugr at bay.
Five Draugr broke the lids of their Sarcophagi and climbed out of it.
Only to leave this realm again, by my axe or the others'
And finally, we had the way secured.
the Crown was close.
I could feel it.
I had never delved into a ruin before.
But I knew the basics.
The Revolving doors that could only be opened with claws.
the Puzzle was not that hard to figure out either.
So eventually, I had the Gate Opened.
So we moved further in, into the Korvanjund halls.
There were some Imperials here.
it was obvious that they did know what we were looking for.
and where to find it.
They had all perished though. To the last man, who was laying to rest in front of a Locked gate.
with a Claw near him.
"What's that?" . "A Draugr. haven't seen one before?" . "Not sure I wanted to." . "Well. now what? The Draugr aren't Imperials." . "We are here for the crown. The Dustmen are as killable as the Imperials are."
"Hmm. a way right in. But don't like the looks of this. perfect spot for an ambush." "But sir, there's no other way inside!" "Do you volunteer to go in? we'll watch your back." "No. sir." "then maybe we can take a look around. maybe they've missed something?"
Wulfgar from forgotten realms.🐺 WIP ✒Just doing something non super hero lol ✏but he kinda looks super anywaz lol Elements of the design are from Larry Elmores awesome painted cover of the crystal shard. Of course, Imperials were waiting for us.
and I had not fought a single Imperial ever since the Ambush in the Rift.
The Skirmish outside the ruin didn't take long.
Then, We Gathered around Galmar before the gate-doors. "Well. Short and bloody, That's how I like it!" Galmar said, "But, be wary. Here we had the element of Surprise. inside, we won't. We have no idea how many of them there are." Ralof replied "But, we're low on numbers. we're only eight!" "any more than that, and the Empire might think something. a spy has already told them about Korvanjund, but they don't know what we're looking for. at least I hope they don't." "Legate rikke is smarter than that" "Yes. But Her men aren't. Now. Be on your guard and have your shield-brother's back! Let's go!"
Three Days ago, A courier brought us a letter from Jarl Ulfric.
he had asked each camp to send two men to the Ruins of Korvanjund.
Lord Galmar and Ralof of Riverwood, an Officer of the Rebellion, were supposed to lead the Operation to retrieve the Crown.
The Bear-friend in The Rift sent me and another man.
CHAPTER FIVE: The War
Part Five: #Wulfgar , #Ragnarr and #Godmundr
Check #battleofwhiterun for the complete story
Two days after the Windhelm Butcher Crisis, Wulfgar and his men left Windhelm to join the main army on the march to Whiterun.
Three Weeks of Surrounding The City and short Skirmishes later, Ragnarr left Windhelm to join the final assault.
Leading the Frontal Assault on the city, he released the Drawbridge, cut his way through Imperials and Guardsmen alike, until he had breached the Gates of Whiterun.
Ordering Wulfgar to clear the Sewers and meet him in the Cloud district, he continued to lead the frontal assault within Whiterun.
Wulfgar along with four Rebel Battle specialists, cleared the sewers in a battle against a second army of Imperials, and finally left the sewers back to Cloud District.
a few hours before, Godmundr and a couple of Rogues sneaked through the Underforge Escape way, meeting Vignar and leaving to assassinate the Guards stationed inside the city.
finally, the three warlords met by the gates of Dragonsreach, and finally forced Balgruuf to Surrender in his castle.
Whiterun was now free...
Fighting the few guards as well as the century of soldiers stationed there, Wulfgar cut his path through to the Cloud District, where Ragnarr and his men would be waiting.
Cutting through the shield wall of soldiers cutting them off the main bulk of the attacking army, Wulfgar finally joined the battle again.
"So many dead. end this, and we can put a stop to the battle here!" one of the soldiers said. "The Loyalists don't have much fight in them. but we can use them for the rebuildings!" Wulfgar nodded. "I will join Lord Ragnarr. Balgruuf will be brought down."
Outside, another squad of Imperials awaited them.
the Main Gaurds were busy battling on the frontlines.
The Imperials were here as a last line of defense if anyone had sneaked past the statue of Ysgammor.
"Thirty men" one of them said, panting. "They didn't back here, did they?"
"They didn't. but neither did we." Wulfgar said, "Let's go." "Not. so. fast!" a voice said from the behind.
a man in a Whiterun's guard armor was blocking the way to the Wind Disctrict. "You won't leave here alive!" Wulfar snorted, "FUS RO DAH!"
Cutting open the head of a soldier, Wulfgar charged towards the last one standing, and sweeped his legs with his axe's handle. "In the name of Skyrim," he said, "I sentence you to death"
and brought his axe down.
"This is it, men!" Wulfgar said, "Today is the day we show the Empire that our Cause, the Children of Skyrim mean business! We have liberated every land east of Whiterun, and our men have already blocked the border of Falkreath to make sure The Empire can't send more men to help this city!" Everyone led out a war cry. "Today is the day we show the Empire what we think of their law! Their Tyranny! Today is the day we liberate the Oldest Settlement in Skyrim! Today, we Show the Empire that WE ARE ONE!" The Men prepared their weapons, letting out war cries again. but he raised a hand. "Remember, what we do here today, We do for our Country! For all who live and die in Skyrim! Whiterun's Walls are tall, but they're old and crumbling! Just like the Empire whose legion lines them! but Today, The City will once more belong to Skyrim! Let us show these Imperials what True Soldiers look like!" And this time, Everyone prepared to move out.
This week I'm changing some habits because of I'm back to my normal schedule at work 😐
I didn't drink any coffe in summer and I'm trying to not drinking more now!
I didn't use to drink much but I want to replace it with chocolate milk, that between us that's much better 😁
Do you have any "bad" habit that you want to remove from yourself? 👻
Chapter Four: It begins
Part three: #Wulfgar and #Navid (read #43TheRebellion for the complete story)
Three days after the Night of Rebellion, Navid and a Stormcloak Mage named 'Ragnarr' freed Fort Amol from the Imperial Control, massacred the Imperial Forces in their camps, then Reported to Lord Wulfgar successfully.
After Navid Took over Fort Amol, he gave Wulfgar a letter from Ragnarr, that told him to seek Marcurio in Riften and Stenvar in Windhelm and tell them'Stormbringer' had asked for them to help him.
Doing That, he and the other two, with the Help of some of Ragnarr's army, began retaking the three one by one, in the end, After bidding farewell to the two mercenaries, he went back to the Palace, to join Gudarz and Ragnarr on a council, where they decided they would begin gathering army for a siege.
Wulfgar: "I say we March Two Armies from Eastmarch and the Pale, and take Riverwood. that'll give Balgruuf the Message." Ragnarr: "If we have them men for that, We can just lay siege to the city." Navid: "that is the plan, after all. is it not? to take Whiterun from the Empire?" Wulfgar: "Indeed it is. we need to start planning."
The First thing to do was to choose a ruler. well, a military commander, until the Moot could gather and decide the high king, anyway.
and it was obvious. unanimous even.
Ragnarr had earned the Throne with his plan.
it was, after all, his plan that had freed Windhelm, and laid a blow that harsh to the Empire the same day.
and his plan that had Freed the Eastholds.
he deserved the Jarldom of Eastmarch.
he deserved to be the commander of the Army.
fortunately, the entire Commanding council of the rebellion were already here.
Ragnarr the Stormbringer, Navid the Diplomat, and Godmundr.
the last one was merely an Ice-Veins. But Ragnarr had suggested him as an old friend, so we generally accepted him inside our group.
I could swear, there was more about those two.
there was something I was missing.
but I wouldn't find that out for some time.
Now, it was time for me to Talk with Ragnarr and that Redguard Fellow Again.
Wulfgar: "Well, Folks. Our Time together has come to an end. as Promised, here's your pay." Marcurio: "Oh, we're not taking that money. Tell the Stormbringer he can count on the Intrigue. We want the Empire gone even more than you do." Stenvar: "I'm staying in the City. Do come for me if You have any missions like this anytime soon. oh, and if you can, give me one of those heavy armors you guys use. Light armor's not my thing." Wulfgar: "I gathered. well. for now, goodbye." Marcurio: "Blessings of Julianous!" Stenvar: "Wind on your back, Stormlord. We will meet again."
The Fort, Thankfully, was close.
and already under siege.
the Second part of Ragnarr's men had already attacked here as soon as the Ice-Veins in The Pale had sent that message.
I could hear combat.
bones breaking, the dying screams of men falling to their death.
We killed. We fought and killed.
At some point I may have wondered why the idiots didn't have any battlemages in the hold with a magic school. But I am not one to refuse a gift like this.
The Fort was ours in a matter of minutes.
So we moved back to Dawnstar, Marcurio Stenvar and I, and once we'd received word Ragnarr's Army was on the move, we knew what we had to do.
For now, I had a Camp full of garbage to clear.
The Imperials are, commonly at least, skilled in fighting sword and shield.
but they're not good in hand-to-hand, and neither can they block a weapon with a long reach.
like my Axe.
or Stenvar's Sword.
Furthermore, they lack the physical strength.
Sure, in great numbers, that weakness becomes irrelevant,
Now, they had no chance.
The Hold was ours. "Stormlord, the Men have escorted Jarl Skald to his throne, and The Imperials are learning swimming as we speak." "Good. We'll take down Winterhold next." "Should we do that? I mean, the Hold is pretty useless-" "It's our land. the Empire has no claim to it, and it has the college. do you want the Imperials do gods know what in there without us knowing what they're up to?" "Point taken." "Good. Secure the Hold. hunt down the last men here. We'll be going to Dawnstar. the next Camp is nearby. oh, and that reminds me, send a letter to Ragnarr. tell him we have both the Rift and the Pale. tell him to have the Council ready for us when we arrive." "Will we decide who's to be the Jarl?" "I think we both know who is the Jarl." "You?" "Oh no. I am no Jarl."
