2 days late, but better late than never ! My contribution to #wundachairwednesday for the lovely @lori.shipp ! Working on wrist strength, and also improving right leg strength and building up that atrophied leg. A work in progress is called a life well lived, for there are goals, and they are being met. 👎🏼 Pedal moves when lifting seat to begin. 👎🏼 Seat is not fully lifted. 👎🏼 Knees are too wide. 👎🏼 Sinking in torso and shoulders. 👎🏼 Neck is not in proper alignment. 
All of this = no control
✅ What's right in the second one? ✅ 👍🏼 Pedal stays still when lifting seat. HOW? #powerhouse baby! 😉
👍🏼Knees only as wide as the shoulders. 👍🏼 Seat is lifted all the way up. Creating the table top position. HOW? #glutes baby! 😉
👍🏼 Lifting our of #chest and #shoulders, continuing the line of a table top. HOW? #lats and #triceps baby! 😉

It’s #wundachairwednesday! Today we’re reminded that one of the best things about #Pilates is that there is ALWAYS a way to make an exercise more challenging (so 🚫 boredom 🚫 results plateaus). The #pilateshundred is a mat exercise that becomes tougher on the chair, even harder on the short side of the chair, and killer when you slow it down (of course, that last bit might be a camera trick in this video...🤫😉). #workoutwednesday #pilatesfit #fusehardcore

Building stability was our focus today! Good job!! -•- Benefits of pilates vary depending on your need. For me, I have improved my mobility (aka flexibility), but for her, it was stability. Tendon stretch (first pic) on the wunda chair is a good conditioning exercise for skin the cat (second pic) which is good conditioning for lyra. Or just do them on their own for no other reasons then it’s fun to do 😁. They both challenge core strength, shoulder mobility and general flexibility. #centralpilatessydney #centralpilatesstudio

This is a much more challenging version of Pilates Elephant. The abs work is making it possible for the pedal to get lifted through pelvic to toe legs connections. Use the spring setting wisely as it really could change the focus and intention of the exercise.

I just noticed this #wundachairwednesday thing going on in the Pilates world over the Instagram. Well, here’s my chair work. This is one of those exercises I much prefer performing in front of a mirror. Otherwise, everything would be all over the place. I add the leg lifts to the traditional Sidebend exercise for extra oblique and hip abductor work. Why not, right? Never too much work on those areas. Because of my bow legs thing 😜, I keep my feet flexed to be sure they stay parallel and I hit the abductors when lifting.
