LE BONHEUR ❤🇫🇷🗼 (Happiness) is coming back to your hometown catching up with loads of old friends and family and simply running like a kid in the local park.... Fasted steady 10k today in a very hilly and pretty park : parc des buttes chaumont. Wow. Simply amazing. GOOD LUCK to all my @asicsfrontrunner friends racing Ealing this weekend. Larian Antarabangsa Jambatan Sultan Mahmud 2017.
Alhamdulillah selesai sudah larian yg bermula pukul 12:01 pg td. Peserta hanya lebih kurang 300, mmg sayu je race ni. Tp ade peningkatan dr tahun lepas yg hanya sekitar 40-50 peserta je.
Larian kalini aku bersama @zul77 yg mendapat slot percuma dr @ultron.co. Ini merupakan larian sulung kami di Kuala Terengganu.
Bbrapa minit sebelum race bermula, hujan renyai. Mmg tahu yg KT ni panas waktu malam. Syukur hujan, sejuk kami lari. Tapi both of us tetap cramp. The route memey hilly. Boleh tahan la. Bosan sikit bg kami sbb mostly pergi dan balik guna jalan sama. Sgt tak best bila ko jumpa runner depan ko yg dh buat pusing U. Mental mental.
My first 20km was good, clocked exactly 2hours. Unfortunately, when i reached km22, dua2 peha lak serentak cramp. Mujur bwk salt tablet, ade la bantu kurang cramp tu. Tp aku dh 1/2 give up utk sub 4:30. Aku teruskan mcm biasa, byk berjalan laju. Sampai km35, aku cuba lajukan blk pace aku. Alhamdulillah melepasi garisan penamat dgn catatan masa tak official 5:31. Walaupun agak barai, but still okay la, tak seteruk timing aku kt PBIM last year.
Dr segi tenaga, mmg takda mslh. Jika tak cramp, target sub 4:30 pasti tercapai. Aku consumed brownie @marathonbaker25 before race utk energy. Lepas race plak, aku mkn Rempeyek Ultra Yim, mmg bgus utk recovery. Thanks to @syarifahsyazrah sbb sudi deliver kt hotel. Im sure u done well in ur race.
For the first time aku abis larian waktu nk dkt subuh. Lepas lari first time disaji dgn sate ikan dan ayam, khas utk FM runners je.

______________________________________________________#flashbackfriday to this #runderful moment last #sundayrunday ! Despite heat & high humidity - I managed to run my fastest #halfmarathon in over 5 years! 8th/191 females 35-39, 56th/1,090 females & 338th/2,501 overall! For years, I struggled with injury, burnout etc. wondering if I would ever run the paces I could 5-6 years ago - when I was younger. I became discouraged at times. Last Nov. - I ran my 1st #BQ in 4 years & then another in April - I realized that girl is still inside of me! 💙💛 This fall - my focus is a PR half & although I chose not to go for it last weekend - due to extreme temps. I am still proud of my performance! 😊 1:44:24 in 70 degrees & 91% humidity - I'll be going for the PR real soon! Be patient, progress does not happen over night - keep putting in the work each day & in time the goals you once thought were impossible will become reality! 😊 Remember, no matter what - always be PROUD!
