Day 17 of #ADarkerShadeofOctober : Ojka (hard to pronounce names) - This book definitely had some new names. I didn’t have a ton of problems with them (I don’t think). Then again I haven’t heard anyone say them out loud lol
#QOTD Standalones or Series?
▪Unless the Standalone is very, very good, I prefer at least trilogies. I usually can’t get enough 😊
Happy Tuesday everyone!! 😘 Thank you for all of the love on my giveaway! Be sure to enter if you haven’t already!! The giveaway ends on Thursday!
I need a new contemporary book to read! any recommendations? What are you guys currently reading??
Are you a milk or dark chocolate person? Showers or baths? Starry nights or rainy nights? ..
I finished the mime order and since I'm the middle of finals I'm not feeling ready for tower of dawn 😩 I need to give it my full attention.
So until then I'm reading the captive prince trilogy, I've only read the first one. I know there's some controversy with these books but I need something easy and I'm curious about what happens in the last two books ..
Also rip me so hard I've been at uni for two months and I have no idea how the printers work??? I don't even know where they are??? And the instructions are so vague?? I'm dying??
“I care for myself. The more solitary, the more friendless, the more unsustained I am, the more I will respect myself.”

I got home so late today and I absolutely hate it 😣
And I have to get up suuuuper early tomorrow as well which I am not happy about either.
So for the rest of my evening before I need to sleep (an hour at most) I'll either read or watch another episode of friends 😊
I hope your day was amazing and maybe you even laughed a bit ☺️💜
I just finished Empress of a Thousand Skies and I have to say I’m impressed. I loved the way the later half unfolded and enjoyed every character and how dynamic they were. So excited for the next book, I’m sure it’ll be an absolute delight to read.
3/5🌟🌟🌟 'My review from goodreads'
I guess this is the first horror book I've read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of cliche slasher horror films and this was basically it to a T. Although that may sound like a bad thing I enjoy the cliche. Senseless teen killing with a bit of romance, it reminded me a lot of scream, and I'm 100% sure this will be made into a film soon for that reason alone. I enjoyed the story and it flowed perfectly there wasn't a time where I got bored and I got attached to the the main characters easily. It's not a book for everyone and it isn't the best book I've read, but I'm still glad I read it.
I don't need to tell you all how much I love Leigh Bardugo since basically everyone on here feels the same. I was extra excited when I received this book cause it came with a surprise signed book plate! 👏🏽 I'm in love with this edition. It's so gorgeous.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week thus far!
| repost | Ok, I finished City of Heavenly Fire and at first I thought that at first that the last chapter felt a little bland, but then the longer I read the more I felt like I wanted to cry. *currently is trying not to cry* Its the end of something that I started reading when I was in middle school/high school to escape and now that its the last book in TMI I feel so much sadness and happiness, Cassandra Clare knows how to rip your heart out and then slowly piece it together, maybe not in the way it was before but beautiful in every way, and that is how I feel about the series. Its full of broken hearts and longing and hope, and thats what makes it beautiful. Yes the series has its rough patches but doesn't every series? And I'm just sad that its over, I plan on moving on to Lair of Dreams and then after that more than likely it'll be back to the Shadowhunter world 💕💕 | written Oct. 14th |
Kiddo Naps, Mom enjoys quiet time outside in 65° gloriousness! Fall in NE is my favorite! Light jackets, chai lattes, & muted colors. On another note, this new John Green read doesn’t disappoint. #botmlovesturtles “Reading was her great Love.” So so true. Nothing beats a good book.
I haven't even started reading this yet but I feel so soothed just by looking at it . 😍
I like it when people who are famous by non-traditional means (so like, YouTube or reality TV) remain humble despite their lives changing. It's so easy to go down the money-grabbing, mass-exposure route. It takes a certain kind of person to be like: "you know what, I'm happy as I am and instead of focusing on myself, I'm going to figure out how I can give back to the world" .
It is this kind of person that I really like and that's why I'm drawn to Connor Franta . 😊
Who are inspirational, humble celebrities ?
Okay I rarely pick up self published books, but this is book 2 in the Standline trilogy and it's freaking awesome! Writing is great and the depth and harsh reality of possible future is what made this book stand out! First book is called Beyond the Strandline by @lindalzern check it out, you won't be disappointed! (Book 2 synopsis below)
After seven years of grid collapse, slave traders, mercenaries, and Myra's army of filthy pirates continue to fight for power and control. There can be no safety without allies, without cooperation—without banding together with the brutal women of the Marketplace Fortress—women who have lived and breathed and served up vengeance for far too long. Will Tessla Lane be able to convince her family and the orphaned Doe Kids of the S-Line Ranch that forming a village is their only path to survival? Will she be able to convince herself?
Soon a massive wildfire will push the S-Line family into the world that the warrior women are building at the old Oviedo Marketplace Mall, now a growing fortress. Tess and Richmond Parrish, a survivor of the junior militias and the FlareOut Wars, must find a way to bind old wounds between Parrish and his sisters, protect members of the S-Line, and still stay true to their fledgling feelings for each other.
“I once read in my physics book that the universe begs to be observed, that energy travels and transfers when people pay attention. Maybe that's what love really boils down to--having someone who cares enough to pay attention so that you're encouraged to travel and transfer, to make your potential energy spark into kinetic energy.” ― Jasmine Warga, My Heart and Other Black Holes
