Evening. This week is very busy for me so I will most likely be doing a lot of late night posting. So if you're a bookstagram night owl I will be here with you. 😏
I'm still reading Christine but I also picked up Lady Midnight again the other day and read over a hundred pages just yesterday. Needless to say I am engaged but I have a few small qualms. There's so much plot and character rehashing - which I get it's a new series - I've been skipping over those parts because I know all that. 😒 Also I understand this is mainly the story of Emma and Julian, their parabatai bond but that aspect is getting stale. I know what the bond is and what it means. I get it. *sigh* Also I really don't give a gong about any relationship between those two, I haven't connected with them enough. Anyway, despite all this I really want to what will become of Mark, the murders and this 'Cold Peace'. I can push through some annoyances. 😅
How's your reading going this week? ✨
My baby is now on NetGalley! If you like books and cake and need another reason to #bookstagram books and cake, then Deadly Sweet is the story for you 💜🍰 Link to request in my bio. Go forth and read of desserts and magic bakeries ✨✨✨
The gift of Persuasion is so rare that only one angelic-human can possess it at a time. This ability is feared the most by Dark Angels because it can flip them from Dark to Light by channeling purified light through one hand and projecting it directly into their heart. Curious to know who has this gift in Sage Alexander? Link in bio!👆🏽
Not long now til Xmas! Has anyone started their Christmas movie watching yet? I ❤ Xmas movies so if you have any recommendations of ones to see let me know! (I will be forever grateful. 😄) Hope you all have a good Friday!
So I have read about 50 pages since mid-November. Any second I'm not taking care of Forrest or writing, I'm sleeping. And that is the truth. Life has been nuts. Reading time has become synonymous with breastfeeding time, and even then, sometimes it is 3 AM and I'm feeding Forrest and I don't want to read. I just want to periodically nod off while watching BuzzFeed Unsolved videos or The Mindy Project. So, needless to say, reading has taken a major backseat to being a mom and being a writer. However, I'm trying to find my balance.
I've actually been in the mood for a reread of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. I have so many new books on my TBR that I'm not sure I'll be able to convince myself that it is responsible to reread a YA series, but I don't know...maybe it will happen. It definitely won't happen until after we move to our new apartment and I finish my current ghostwriting projects, though. Which book or series have you reread/wanted to reread recently?
If you're friends with me on Goodreads (which you should be 😉 - nutmeg07) you may have noticed that my 'Currently Reading' section says 73. Which is an awful lot, no one can read that many books at one time...😆 But you see I have a horrible habit of adding every book I open and often times I forget about those books halfway through or move on to another. And I never bother editing the list. So I've decided my goal for next year is to get that list down to a normal number. By finishing some and removing others I'm not interested in or want to read later. So...what book from here should I finish first? 😏
