Gratitude is a daily practice for me, and I definitely have so much to be grateful for... This year, one of my greatest yogini blessings is this yogi as my teacher. I've learned so much from him, his classes, books, (and the books he lends me, in 9 months... it feels more like 9 years! This is definitely a shout-out to a gem of an experienced, knowledgeable, caring, and kind teacher in the bay, Richard Rosen. A blessing for sure. Happy Thanksgiving, all! 🍁🙏🍂

I really had to drag myself across town to get to yoga this eve, I was feeling stressed before I left then got stuck on tube and ran into class late, my heart was pounding I couldn't breathe my eyes were stinging I wished I'd just stayed at home. •
I was very much in my swirling head for the first ten minutes and then as we started to slowly move around our mats and I felt my body and mind chatter calming down, I gradually started to become aware of where I was and to notice the other people around the room.
It was like little fairy lights flickering on one by one. There was Rachel's smiling face, out popped @simmo707 from behind the pillar, then I spotted @alicelockerbie and @elizabethmlkeenan, nobody puts @yogawithbabs in the corner and is that @hannielyngvedyoga on a mat over there too? ✨
Growing up in London I am used to going to places and being anonymous, and there's something I have always quite like about that. So I was surprised by how warmed I felt seeing all these familiar people around the room. All of us doing our own weird thing, but doing our own weird thing together. •
That's one thing I love about yoga, it brings people together but also lets you have your space.
Thanks @naomiabsalom for a great class and for facilitating so many unexpected reunions! It sort of felt like coming back home 🍷and I managed a backward roll this time too! 👊🌈
