FYI this is about 10 minutes sped into 45 seconds. Slowing down and anchoring into my breath calms both me and #babygirl . The realities of motherhood aren’t just adorable cuddles and heartwarming smiles. Times can be TOUGH. Actually tougher than tough. But by taking a minute or five or ten and just slowing down your breath rationalises the mind and makes everything seem more manageable.

It's the holiday season! 😬This means I'm on a cyclical Detox-Retox-Detox-Retox regime until January when the detox finally (mostly?) wins. For me, Detox means cutting out refined carbs and alcohol. Which means Retox is basically dunking sugar cookies in a Manhattan and calling it festive 😂
How do you guys Detox? And how do you keep it going? I can keep refined carbs out of my diet a lot easier than a glass of wine🍷🤔

Mountain pose is not simply standing up. At first, it may seem like something you do every day. It is actually a beautiful grounding pose that encourages you to practice balancing between mental and physical engagement. Being aware of active muscles and dormant/lazy muscles. It is the starting pose of the Son Salutation and @gracexstrength ’s GRACE FLOW practices. It sets the foundation of “awareness” and the beauty of this is that it’s NOT about getting the correct Mountain. It’s about being aware of chronic holding patterns and improving postural alignment.
We’ve put together some common chronic holding patterns that we observe from our teaching. These are by no means ALL holding patterns nor representative of YOU.
Our hope is just that you may relate and find some of these tips useful.
Yoga is often what you learn from your guru. There are different ways and methods taught. .

Secretly, on days when I’m tired and cranky I want to be alone because I don’t want to contaminate anyone I see or anything I do with vibrations that aren’t my finest; but as life would have it, the show must go on. Historically, I plough through lethargy with a smile on my face until my front door closes behind me and I collapse into an evening of self care. Thanks to the wonderful community @fullcircleyoga today I felt safe enough to perform an experiment in honesty. I started my traditionally upbeat and vigorous class with the lights down, music low, a soft voice, and an invitation for students to treat their mat as a canvas. I didn’t put on an inspirational or cheerful mask. I simply encouraged the class to create whatever they wanted from their place of perfect love. I reminded them that that love is effortless, it exists simply in their presence. I didn’t plan to say that, but when the words fell out of my mouth I felt so much peace. I was reminded that we don’t have to “do” or “be” anything in particular to move about our days in a helpful harmonious way. Our existence is plenty. 💛 a huge thank you to the wonderful Yogis and students who inspire me. Love you.

Our thoughts bound us to so many things that are unnecessary. We often fail to recognize that our thoughts are simply OUR interpretations of the things we encounter. These interpretations are based on our perceptions, and these perceptions are ofcourse influenced by the things that we expose our minds to. Our mind is such a powerful tool, but can also be such a dangerous tool if exposed to the wrong things - mainly the "wrong" form of socialization.
More often than not, it is our ego that drives our minds when left unfiltered.
A way to filter your mind is to a daily practice of self reflection and or meditation. Through this daily practice, you let go off the unnecessary, the wrong perception and the wrong interpretation of the things that happen in your life. ❤❤❤

Wiele rzeczy nie zależy od Nas samych więc się tym nie przejmuj a uwierz mi... kiedyś strasznie wszystkim się przejmowałam... i zdaję sobie sprawę że jest to baaaardzo trudne 😟 Mogłabym wiele napisać ale nie chce 😉 nie będziesz chciała tego czytać 😂 Pewne sytuacje prowadzą do trudnych decyzji ale nie bój się je podejmować 🙏 Czasami warto zastanowić się jakie konsekwencje poniesiesz kiedy ta decyzja będzie zła i jak wtedy wpłynie na twoje życie,czy sprawi że nie będziesz mogła dalej normalnie funkcjonować? 😯 Czy aby na pewno nie boisz się tylko i wyłącznie porażki z której kompletnie nic nie wyniknie albo wręcz przeciwnie... wyjdzie wiele wiele dobrego tylko na to nie zwracasz uwagi!? 😏 No bo co powiedzą inni... Qrcze!!!!! Naprawdę jest to dla ciebie aż tak ważne??? Czy twoje szczęście, zadowolenie, uśmiech na twarzy nie liczy się bardziej niż to co Oni powiedzą!? 🤔 Oni żyją twoim życiem czy ty sama??? 😯 Twoje marzenia to twoje marzenia i nikt nie ma prawa ich osądzać... A little reminder to make some time for yourself today ✨
Between working, writing a paper for University, preparing a presentation and doing sport this wasn't on my list lately. My body reminded me this week by becoming sick and forcing me to slow down. I tend to stuff my calendar with lots of things without calculating in breaks and rest days. It's only for so long that you can do that before your body goes on strike. For me this meant spending the last few days sleeping and recharging. Looking forward to some quiet Christmas days with my family to unwind.✨
Here’s a couple snippets from my practice this morning. Woke up and my body felt like moving so I listened and I went downstairs made myself some tea and vibed with my music. Haven’t really been in tune with my body physically and spiritually because I’ve been dealing with a lot emotionally and mentally so it felt nice to just listen to my music and let my body move.
I like taking videos of myself because I go back and I watch myself and I notice things such as my body leaning more towards one side. Now a couple of you know that my back is curved and twisted on my lower back, and because of this it makes some backbends and some positions really hard for me and I noticed that I’m not straight like I should be. If anyone has any tips or advice on how to get my back to straighten up more and how I can strengthen my weaker side please let me know. ☺️💞.
