Talking about FINDING YOUR PASSION on the blog today. In therapy I work with people on discovering their passion. Often our society puts pressure on us to decide exactly what we are doing with our lives at a young age...but its not usually that easy. It's ok to take your time and figure your passion out. We need experiences, interactions, adventures, and trial and error before we can even begin to identify what sets our soul on fire. ⠀
The biggest thing I've learned over the years is that our passions evolve. Currently, the combination of mental health and yoga are my passion. What's yours?
Fall is here! Time to shed old leaves, let go of relationships that do not serve you. My daily intention: Focus! I got 6.5 hours of sleep last night, I made a choice to choose sleep over my workout last night, sometimes you have to listen to your body, my mind was too exhausted to be making choices for itself! Today I will FOCUS on completing my daily tasks. I'm two cups of coffee in, however you have to get it done is what I'm thinking! #coffeeme#dailyintention#focus#yogajourney#fall#timetoshed
La comparaison... Le système social dans lequel on évolue, du moins en Amérique du nord, nous pousse à évaluer notre valeur, nos compétences, notre intelligence, nos intérêts, nos passions (name it) par rapport aux autres. Et plutôt que de saluer le succès des autres, de nous inspirer de ces derniers, nombre d'entre nous se sentons plutôt dévalorisé.e.s, comme si nous n'étions pas assez (name it) pour faire ça, nous.
Quand ces doutes, cette jalousie, cette démotivation pointent leur nez dans mes réflexions, j'essaie de voir ce qui m'effraie, ce qui cause mon manque de confiance. Je me rappelle que nous commençons tous quelque part, et que, vraiment, le chemin est tout aussi important que la destination (ouin, je le pense pour vrai). Les limites que je m'imposent sont tellement nombreuses et elles ne viennent pas de l'extérieur. Saluons les succès, les réussites, les qualités des autres sans se sentir menacées par elles. Il y a de la place pour tout le monde, collaborons !
