Day 7 of #shoulderskneesntoes : TOE STAND! So I got SUPER inspired by this pose🙌, as I have three varaitions! My first I was inspired by @awesomebodyrevolution she made the half lotus tree toe stand look so beautiful😍. My second I was inspired by @vanessa_carrettiere I thought the shape she made in toe stand was beautiful and creative I just HAD to try🙏 (mine is no where near as lovely as hers, but was fun to try out none the less). My third variation I like because of the simplicity of it (even though it's not simple at all), yet all of them made me feel beautiful and powerful.

👀 I look so evil because I want to take this little guy home 😂 Everyone meet Casey. This tiny ball of energy keeps me on my toes daily! 💦 ..keeps me sweating too! We ran 2mi! ✔ Ha! My little jogger 🐕 motivates me to 🏃 a bit more every day. Most of my #cardiotime 😁😜 I try I try. But really, I want to start challenging myself everyday 💪 to run more! I'm used to the lack of oxygen here 💨I think I'll be good in no time lol! 👌

I've never been comfortable calling myself a "yogi". ✨I just say I practice yoga. For me, the labeling of something does not make it so, it just makes the mind feel comfortable. And so we cannot further our understanding if we are in a comfortable place, whether in the body-mind or in the mind-body. ✨ When you hear the word "yogi" (or any word actually) ... notice what mental picture comes to mind. Ahhhh yes, the mind makes an image, a picture, notice it? And so the architecture begins to build up a story in the body-mind space and the thought is complete, the answer has come. And so my consciousness and my perspective stays the same, unchanging. So if I want to see the unseen and deeper into more unfathomable dimensions, I must take notice of mental images and stories that are being created and soften them. The intention becomes to experience without an image, to bear witness without thought. So that the mind is still and absorption of what is, is possible. The greatest interference to our own personal growth is our thought patterning and our jumping to apparent (but rarely true) conclusions. In a way, we self-sabotage unknowingly .... but perhaps now we know to be vigilant and ever watchful. If I want to truly understand, I must release all of the ideas I have collected thus far. Only then is the slate clear and ready. So every day is new and completely different and every day I am new and completely different. And in my newness, there is a readiness to grow. 🌿
So grateful for the energy and positive vibes I get from people after teaching a class. So grateful for the opportunies I get eventhough I'm just starting as a teacher. 🙏🏻 #yoga#yogalove#yogalife#yogateacher

Finding new ways to use Paul the Wall with my middle splits for #middlesplitsinspring and some closed triangles and diagonal lines for #yogalinesandangles . I'm always striving to find balance. Balance in life, balance in strength, balance in flexibility. So today I tried to find some balance in my practice. Between being strong and supple, scared and safe. Finding my edge but not beyond.
This is what Yoga looks like at my house 🤦🏻♀️ a hot spicy mess 😂. I got through it though thanks to @beachbody and their on Demand service. I did Yoga for Low Back Pain (which I happen to have a lot of lol) with @vytasyoga. It was quick and easy which was exactly what I needed.
If you're anything like me then you take any opportunity to practice outside of your hectic home. I take advantage of what my community offers and I attend @yogainourcity with @vasutribe as often as I can. I LOVE practicing outside. The energy is so different, I always leave feeling good.
