This pose may appear easy, but try to hold it for 60 seconds or more and your core WILL burn hahaha 😂😂🔥 Definitely incorporating this one in my daily core workouts 👌😍

There is always that true self inside of you. Some call it stillness, nirvana, the source, however you want to call it does not matter. Important is, that you need to look within. This is nothing external.
Through yoga and meditation we practice connecting to that source. We somehow lost that connection and we're trying to find our way back to it. Back to us. Back to you.
Once you understand how to connect to it, to yourself, you get a feeling for how vast and beautiful life actually is and not limited by anything. When connected to your true self, the edges of your physical body dissolve, you'll find yourself in everything around you. You notice how you're flowing as a wave in the ocean of life. Everything is flowing as one.
Day 8: Koundinyasana B. This is easiest when entered from a low lunge, keeping the back leg active (still on the toes). Work the arm under the front leg, bending the arm (again Chataranga arms). Take a big breath and exhale, leaning forward. See if you can hinge forward, balancing on the arm as you take the back leg off the ground, coming to a balance. #scarystrongssi#armbalance#ashtangis

Through yoga you learn how to be in peace with yourself. It is ok to be who you are. It is ok that you are you, there is no need to be like everyone else. You are the creator of your own life. There is always a choice. From that peace comes a feeling of acceptance. Acceptance for how it is and how it will be. Everything will be ok. This leads to trust and confidence, in your life, in the world, everything inside and outside of you. From there you begin to love yourself. You shine bright in acceptance of who and what you are. Your love radiates and all seems to be love. Love is everything. Everything is love. It is all around us, and all in us, love is in everyone and you can simply feel it in your heart.
We have one more arm balance workshop coming up this year on Nov 11 in the south bay. The next workshops in 2018 are already scheduled and will be in San Francisco and outside of the bay area.
In this upcoming workshop we will also spend a good amount of time on handstands. Usually we cover only non-inverted arm balances in this workshop but for the first time we'll include handstand also. We will share all the secrets and details that we learned about arm balances over the years with you. This workshop is for all levels and no arm balance experience is required. Lots going on here and it certainly doesn’t feel easy. There’s a really conscious balancing of flexibility and engagement, with, amongst other things, and attempt to draw the front femur back in its socket. 📸 @phillipsuddick
Great day yesterday at the OM Yoga show and always good to catch up with the Gathering of Yogis crew! Only negative was finding out someone else runs a class called ‘Inversion Immersion’ too!
