I have been reading a lot about mindfulness. How it affects ya chemically and how to incorporate it in my life. It is so crazy the havoc that stress can wreak on our sleep, metabolism, digestion and so on. And oh buddy, I def carry stress and anxiety. Don’t we all?
I think it would be fair to say I have a reputation of being both a distracted and anxious person. So if you could be bad at being mindful, I would be the worst. But mindfulness is a practice. It is about trying to be present and focused. So lucky duck right here, bad is not an option. As long as I try then I will reap the benefits of taking time to breath.
This week I am going to practice monotasking. Doing one thing at a time and giving it all of my attention. This includes setting down my coffee mug before I buckle my seat belt, setting down my phone to have a conversation and closing my email until I have finished the task at hand. No doubt I will fail more than I succeed. But just like fitness, the more I practice the more I will strengthen my muscle (my brain in this case).
I challenge you to take ten minutes or just one a day to close your eyes and breath so you can maintain a mindful and breathable holiday week. Xoxo
I spent about 12 hours today juggling calls and emails with 5 different companies just trying to build a platform to give away free information.

What is yoga? This picture from @maxandlizacro is a perfect example of many aspects of yoga - strength, flexibility, but more importantly compassion. Nonviolence. Love. These are the things yoga is made up of. With the right mindset, washing the dishes can be yoga. 1/8th of all of yoga is Asana (which is a physical posture). While it’s important, it’s not the whole thing. It’s how you treat others and yourself as well. We find it ridiculous when people@comment on this page “that’s not yoga.” Just with that statement you have already made a negative judgment about someone 🙏🏻❤️ keep on being compassionate, stretch your body and mind, and we will be there!
