Remember the days you wished so badly for where you are now. 
Remember that girl on the left, and how much she HATED this time of year!! This picture was taken at a friends NYE party. It was a few years since I’ve seen these friends and I felt embarrassed about how I let my body get so unhealthy.

I HATED being at that party, I cringed anytime someone wanted to take a picture that I rushed to take out my camera so they could use mine instead β€” that way I could control what gets posted on social media. The only thing I knew would help me ESCAPE was drinking. I drank until a smile was plastered on my face. 
I can’t tell you one good memory from that night! A night where I was literally surrounded by so many friends… NOT ONE! Instead, the only memories that come back when I see that picture are just how miserable I was. I regret so badly letting myself get to that point, I hate that I allowed myself to not take care of my body & mind to the point it affected the thing that’s most important to me: my relationships with the people I love!

That Nadia was NOT a good person, for myself or for anyone else! I’m sharing this because I know there is someone out there who is struggling this time of year! Someone who may feel like that girl on the left felt! I want you to know that you aren’t alone & you can overcome this! I’m here to help. ❀️

πŸŽ„β„οΈπŸŽ„β„οΈ12 Days of Fitmas, Day 1!!πŸŽ„β„οΈπŸŽ„β„οΈ In case you didn't catch my live video yesterday, I explained that I will be posting a healthy idea each day for the next 12 days, ending on Christmas Eve! 
The idea is to show you one of the following each day: 🎁A quick work out move you can squeeze in while on a break at work, or during a commercial break while watching TV!  Something quick and easy, but effective if done consistently. 🎁A yummy, healthy holiday or comfort food recipe
🎁Other tips and/or tricks for staying healthy and keeping a positive mindset this time of year!

So today's tip is The Lunge.  You will see me doing three different types in the video, progressing from easiest to hardest. 
1️⃣The first one is called a "clock lunge". Think of the floor as a clock you are looking down on.  You basically step your lunging leg to 12πŸ•›then 9 πŸ•˜ (or 3 πŸ•’) then behind you at 6 πŸ••. Then, repeat on the other side.
2️⃣Number two is a skipping lunge.  There is a little hop in between each lunge while you switch legs.
3️⃣The last lunge is a full on Plyometric lunge.  You get the most bang for your buck in terms of efficiency with caloric burn and getting your heart rate up with this one. 
See if you can do one of the above three exercises for one minute (or more!). It only takes a small part of your day, but this is a great exercise for toning and shaping your lower body.  If you are getting ready for some skiing or boardingβ›·πŸ‚, these lunges can be a great way to help get those legs ready! #12daysoffitmas

If I can do this is a year imagine what I can do in two?!?! I continually forget (sometimes on purpose) that I’ve been on this journey for over a year. And majority of the time I don’t really realize how much I’ve changed. 
I don’t weigh myself consistently to know how much I’ve lost. I’ve only bought one new pair of jeans and they were a size smaller. I’m one of those who refuse to buy new clothes but at the same time constantly wants new clothes lol. 
I think my outside transformation speaks for itself when I look at these pictures. 
Especially when I see how fake the one on the left is. That smile is fake I was uncomfortable and miserable. I hated myself and didn’t want anyone to see me. I got complacent in life and the weight just packed on. 
Don’t get me wrong my job and life are wonderful I’m completely happy with my job and will more than likely never give it up but the weight came on and I hated it. 
So I tried out this home workout, drinking a daily superfood shake, and portion control (still don’t have that down yet πŸ˜‚). I did it and I fell in love with it. 
Working out is a release it’s lets me mentally clear my brain for 30-45 minutes a day and leave the room mentally better. 
But I know starting is scary that’s why I’m here to help you every little step of the way from not knowing where to start to helping plan a meal prep day to listening to your life troubles I got you girl! πŸ’ž

So I want to open my group up to 10 serious women who just want better for themselves, who are tired of putting their self last and want to put their self first somewhere.

It said β€œWithout our trainings and motivation, I would not have been fit enough to do the 22Km roundtrip to see this beauty!!!” Please show her some love for this accomplishment πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ€— When I started sharing my journey on social media I never thought it would help as many people as it has. I started sharing at first for my own accountability and for a discount on my favourite superfoods. NEVER did I ever think I’d have a career helping people get healthy. I was 232 pounds a few years back and I have not yet reached my goal 100% but thank god I didn’t let that stop me from this coaching business opportunity. What is it they say β€œsometimes the greatest coaches were once the worst players”. If you’re seriously thinking about reaching your health/fitness goals this year why not start sharing it publicly for accountability, get paid too and add some positivity into the world. #payingitforward Let’s chat if you are! Who says moms can't have abs?! 😜

Kind of a funny story-- When I was pregnant with Colton they told me he was measuring kind of small, that he might be 6lbs full term. 
Well.. He decided to come two weeks early annnnnd was almost 9 lbs! πŸ˜΅πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ Talk about shock! πŸ˜‚ I seriously thought the doctor was joking when she called out his weight. 
I was nervous if and how I would be able to get my body back after having a baby. Especially a 9 pound baby at that! 
But with some hard work, dedication, and consistency, I did just that. 
In fact, I actually FEEL better now than before I had Colton. I have more energy, I feel healthier, and stronger than before! 
I don't spend hours at the gym every day. I workout 30 minutes a day. 
I don't eat chicken and broccoli every day. (Little secret- I don't even like broccoli πŸ™Š). I eat normal delicious food. (I.e.: tacos, pasta, oh and wine!) And I drink a superfood shake every. Single. Day. I used to think superfood shake meant a lot of greens that tasted disgusting. Lucky for me, I was wrong! My superfood shake is delicious and so versatile. (I made peppermint mocha today, gingerbread cookie yesterday... πŸ˜‰πŸͺ) That's it. This program is sustainable and accommodates literally any lifestyle.

Day 2 of the new workout program with mama bear 🐻 be like 😡😡 Haha. But for real she did AMAZING. I'm proud of her πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻 I did the full workout better than I did last year on the FINAL day of doing the workout πŸ˜³πŸ˜„ #YAY so that was a sweet feeling! 
How I'm staying motivated right now? 
1. My results from this program when I did it last year. I'll post them in the comments πŸ‘ŒπŸ» 2. Doing it with mama! It's just so fun to workout with her!! 3. It's honestly just a habit. A week day (sometimes even a weekend) doesn't feel complete without a workout done. It's part of my routine. WHY? Because I don't EVER want to live another day hating the skin I'm in. I swore I never would again. So I just don't let my feelings into the process of deciding to workout or not. I committed to feeling good for myself, so I take action. 
To put it simple: I want a jacked body, abs and to eat pizza without feeling "fat" MORE than I want to sit on my ass watching tv every morning or sleeping an extra hour. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I just DONT want to feel like the non-confident, unhappy person I was a year and a half ago. So I get up. I press play. And I worry about my feelings after πŸ˜‚

I have been listening to some speeches by Mel Robbins on The Five Second Rule. When you have an thought or idea to act upon your goals you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will kill the idea. Our brains are so powerful! One minute you’re motivated & ready to get things done & then the next you start doubting yourself & thinking you can’t accomplish your goals or it will never happen. Stop thinking that way!! My husband would tell me all the time to say positive affirmations to myself every morning & I would ignore him because I thought it was silly πŸ™ˆ but Now I finally get it! It really helps! It changes your mindset, puts you in a great mood & you feel that you are capable of achieving anything! Have you heard the quote β€œTurn your can’ts into cans and your dreams into plans” Start telling yourself you can, you are capable, you will achieve πŸ’š Ignore the negative thoughts, focus on the positive πŸ’š
