A Chinese proverb says "A man (sic) grows more tired while standing still" and I'm thinking of printing t-shirts for wanderlusters with that quote! I mean it is so true! I remember a couple of years back I tried to hold a "normal" office job and girl I was exhausted by the immobility of the whole concept..I shudder just by thinking of all the hours spent in that office ...😨😨😨

Try this one starting with the right leg and then do the left side. Repeat 3-5x taking a few breaths in each pose and then maybe flowing through it at one breath per movement. 🌞

Lately - I've been learning the how-to's of getting BACK into a self care practice and routine. Because mine has been a littLe bit forgotten... it's the thing I struggle the most with. And the thing I work to share. Self care. It's tough when you're a gogoGO kind of person- and suddenly realize you've maybe gone too far. But I'm also a very DETERMINED person- so I know that this is JUST the beginning of a growth that will never stop. It's always a balancing act. How to work and play. How to give and receive. How to run and rest. And some seasons are heavy on one end or the other- but today I made a step forward by taking this time for a little self-care :)
Celebrate yourself thinking small about ourselves does not serve us well. Instead it holds us back. Tell me something that you are proud of?

3 Week Yoga Retreat | Day 8 🌱
Starting week 2 of this program tonight. I feel it's a bit more challenging and I love it! Week 1 was pretty easy for me so I hope Week 2 will bring me some challenge. 🙌🏻🤸🏻♀️
LOL ANOTHER FOOD POST SORRY 'BOUT IT 🤷🏽♀️😍 But seriously though....I couldn't keep this one to myself: quinoa, chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and red pepper - tossed together w/ pesto and added a side of broccoli 🙌🏼 Thank god for my challenge groups always encouraging me to try new recipes, otherwise I would be SOOO boring with my food 🙄 Food shouldn't have to be boring, and you shouldn't have to eat less to be healthy. JUST EAT MORE GOOD FOOD ❤️ #SayNoToDiets 🙅🏽 Good food = fuel for your body, soul, brain, and gut (nerd fact: your gut is a second brain, how cool is thattttt 😎) • Also BLESSSS UPPPP that I have an online wellness studio with literally hundreds of recipes to try (did she say hundreds? Yes hundreds. I think...not actually sure never counted. But there's A TON). A community of inspiring women who love food and inspire me to be a better me?? Consistency for me- has ALWAYS been a struggle. It was never something that came very easy because I didn't have anyone to HOLD me accountable. I didn't have a group of women to help me show up every day.
But one day- ALL that changed.
One day, I was introduced my tribe (virtually, I might add) and suddenly- I was doing my workouts...I was eating healthy and STICKING to my meal plan.with no problem at all...I saw results!!
So I decided to take that to the next level -and join a fit tribe FOR LIFE. I chose to become a coach for THIS.
And I've never felt more grateful than when I think about how THIS decision brought me to these beautiful ladies❤️

I’ve had 5 years of yoga practice & due to growing up in a very poor household I didn’t get over 15 years of ballet or gymnastics training so what you see is what you get in regards to my asanas. All my childhood I wanted to be a dancer but for someone like me, that just wasn’t a reality so I used to hide in my bedroom creating art and learning how to belly dance from watching Shakira. My family was so poor I used old makeup brushes as paint brushes! Some yogis on here who’ve had that privileged upbringing, preach being humble and to practice authentically but really they don’t have a clue what those words truly mean. Do these yogis in their pretty (sponsored) outfits teach in homeless shelters or to kids from broken homes- to actually help others with their talents? Or do they sit like a pretzel on a beach somewhere quoting some crap about being real in the hope their thousands of followers will gush at them? It’s easy when you’ve had it easy, it’s easy to look like a pro at a yoga asana practice when you’ve never had to give up hobbies or passions to put food on the table. This is for the single mum yogis who still get on their mat to watch a free yoga YouTube tutorial or for the homeless teenager trying to attend community yoga class & the kid who can only spare 5 minutes of meditation because they’re caring for a sick parent.
And so we breath... It is okay to take some rest.
We put energy into becoming the best version of ourselves, and then we also take time to recharge, to reconnect, and then continue on our duty of spreading good vibes 💙🍃 #spreadthegoodvibes#vibesdestinations
