I need space and time to decompress, relax, self assess and do The Work. A part of how I do that is through isolation and meditation. Once a year, for 10 days, I turn my focus to the inside and sit with my self in silence, taking a good look at who I am. During this time, there are no electronic devices, no books, no talking; there are no distractions. When you sit in meditation for days on end, you begin to sink deeper into your subconscious, into your feelings, your intentions. You see who you are, you see your truth. One of my major life goals is to not harbor negativity. I do this by practicing honesty, love and forgiveness. During this extended meditative period, I tend to my garden, uprooting any negativity I've stored inside of me.
