I get a lot of people asking if it is really necessary to soak the mushrooms before using them to cook, I have tried both rehydration an throwing it into the pot straight up especially for jollof rice and soup as well and I think I am cool with both methods. Still the same taste and same texture
However, did you know that the liquor (water) from soaking dried mushrooms can make a useful soup stock or flavoring for sauces and stews? I guess you didn't know and in my capacity as the chief mushroom consultant🙋🙋🙋, I would strongly recommend that you try it. I always loved taking pictures of myself and then there came a time in my life where I hated it. I avoided pictures, or would find an angle within the picture where you couldn’t notice how much weight I gained.
Even after trying to get back to that ideal workout routine of hours in the gym and such restrictive eating habits, it obviously wasn’t working for me.
And then I finally found something that did. I found a group of ladies who lift each other up and cheer each other on, every single day. I started using PCCs and drinking superfoods every single day, while also doing shorter, more intense workouts.
And you know what? I enjoy taking pictures again. I no longer am hiding behind certain outfits or posing in certain angles, I just take the picture ✌🏼

Week 1 is down (No dairy) woohoo!
Week 2 I'm cutting out gluten containing carbs (bread, rice, pasta, etc). Easy chia chocolate shake recipe:
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 cup of almond milk or coconut milk
- I add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for taste as well
Just blend it all up and voila, breakfast!
One of my most favourite breakfasts!
2 fruit (1cup berries, 1 small banana)
1 carb (gf ancient grains waffle)
0.5 healthy fat (toasted almonds)
0.5 protein (0% fay greek yogurt)
2 tsp oils/nut butters (peanut butter)
1 free tsp (honey)

My view is whilst menopause is a sensitive topic it's not taboo. The truth is 100% of women will go through menopause which means 100% of men will impacted to whether at home or at work.

It feels so good to be back on the fitness and health wagon. After eating everything under the sun for months and gaining a few kg's, I am happy to say I'm over it. I've done 3-days cleanse juice fasts and I've been feeling so good and light not only physically but also mentally this time.
