🌮Taco Quinoa Skillet Bake🥘
I made this last night for dinner and everyone LOVED it!!! I was a little nervous they'd be upset because we had no tortilla shells and my hubs is weird about quinoa. BUTTTTTT no one said a word and dove in!!!
So glad There was some left over for lunch today!!
WHAT' IN IT!?
**cooked them all in the skillet, then added
-cooked quinoa -tomatoes
-shredded cheese ***as you can see my cheese is limited due to dairy sensitivity but my fam had a separate pan with more cheese for a more gooey baked look.
-topped with avocado.
You could add condiments or chips if you want, but definitely delicious all by itself!
This perfect weather means firing up the grill for lunch 🔥 My charred chipotle black bean burger is smeared with plain hummus and some cracked black pepper for even MORE plant-powered protein 🌿 Served it up with diced cherry tomato, thinly sliced radish, and avocado + homemade basil vinaigrette 😋

Fresh Meals Ready for tomorrow🙏🏼Eat To Grow Lean Muscle🤸🏾♀️Science is clear: to perform well, you need to get your food to work for you CORRECT? Enjoy preparing Nutrition fuel for your body🙏🏼I’ve always wanted to write a book titled For Professional Athletes & Fitness Athletes Only, because I believe everyone, at some point in their life, dreams of being an athlete.💪🏾because in order to perform successful and out perform your opponent eating clean will allow the process to remain consistent and less stressful👀The sense of ultimate and control over your body is incredibly aspirational, and if it were easy to achieve, everyone would sign up RIGHT!? Eat Clean✔️Train harder✔️We benefit from an increase in calorie expenditure not only during resistance exercise, but also for hours after training. Called excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), the harder you train, the higher your calorie burn throughout exercise, and the higher and longer the afterburn. If you fuel yourself well enough to lift multiple sets to failure, EPOC can continue for 24 to 36 hours postworkout💦

One of the best and most popular vitamin water combos - melon + cucumber + mint. As I get back into my fitness routine, I try to drink about a gallon of water each day, especially now that it's getting hotter in Texas. I let the fruit/veggies settle in the water for about 20 minutes before drinking and I'll sip on it throughout the day. This is something I like to do to make drinking water more enjoyable, while also giving my body a small boost of vitamins and minerals. Yes, you can refill the bottle with water up to 24 hours (keep it refrigerated) and yes, you can eat the fruit. Share your favorite flavored water combo below for others and remind a friend to drink at least 9 to 11 cups of non-sugary liquid each day. Boom.
Bum. // Repost: @fitmencook // @healthyeatingteam
Prepping for dinner tonight: spaghetti!!! Yum. But I will be substituting the pasta with spaghetti squash. Did you know that spaghetti squash is not only full of vitamins and minerals, fiber, antioxidants and "good carbs" but it also does THIS:
Promotes eye health
Prevents births defects
Promotes cardiovascular health
Is anti inflammatory to fight arthritis and cancer. 💥 boom 💥 MINDBLOWN again!!!! #naturalsolutions#backtobasics#foodismedicine#youarewhatyoueat#dontbeapotatochip
If you've known me for a while or have me on snapchat, you'll know I'm a serious food lover and I try to take great care in what I eat and drink.
It didn't happen overnight and of course I have my up and down moments but i'm always consciously trying to educate myself and learn new and alternative ways to keep my body, mind, and health in the best shape possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Take veganism for example, I can't honestly say I am one, and at first I was very narrow minded about the whole idea of it all. But after reflection and research, I agree with the philosophy to certain extents and have adopted quite a few vegan practices and substitutes - I intend to adopt more but it's not easy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Truth is healthy food should be considered the norm and as time's gone on, humans have developed a need to eat for taste - if it doesn't taste nice we don't want it, its something that unfortunately is programmed into us from what we eat during our childhood and the society that surrounds us. You need to train your body and mind to eat what you know will be good for you and if you take a genuine interest in it, you'll learn ways to make everything taste amazing - which it will.
Like i said it won't happen overnight and takes some time and dedication to change your mindset. It's easier to go and buy a takeaway or eat what's ready made for you, rather than to go shopping and prep a home cooked meal for yourself.
Our bodies are a blessing and a temple for our souls and being. You would not litter and pollute a temple so learn to love and respect yourself and make changes that will benefit you in more ways than you can imagine. Health is literally wealth and eating well is a form of self respect. Swipe right to see the full shebang. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
