Last night, I had the privilege of seeing these amazing young artists make magic with their words. They responded to what they’re learning about the NYC Draft Riots of 1863 and created an incredible original piece. They are poets and storytellers. THIS is the why @openingactny is so vital and so worth supporting. Their annual #Powerof10 fundraising drive is all about small donations. If you have $5, or $10, or $15...please visit the link below and help this very deserving company continue to empower these young artists and leaders. .
THIS WEEKEND! ST GEORGE METRE SQUARED ART FESTIVAL!! I'm so proud of this art festival that we've created at @shopfront_arts. Food, performances, exhibitions and activities with local artists - who you can read about below! -
Get crafty at St George Metre Squared! At the festival, join local artist Coco Tang for bookmark painting and namecard making using Chinese painting and calligraphy, and make giant collages with the Shopfront Team. On Saturday, get messy painting with local artist Richard Lee or have your portrait sketched by Don Kibble! And on Sunday try your hand at string making and weaving with local Aboriginal young people. #SGm2
Happy to be part of the Expo 2020 International Participants Meeting to bring the work of young artists from Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children aged 10-16 to life. The project is entitled ‘Mud Music’ which combines music, pottery and theatre – a showcase that illustrates how culture is both an anchor to achieve great things for the UAE’s future while still being sustainable in its form.
