In furthering our #advocacy towards a #zerohunger generation by #2030 , @oviwce_ #volunteers will join the rest of the #world in commemorating the #worldfoodday2017 on #oct16 .
The #Theme of this year's #worldfoodday is CHANGE THE FUTURE OF MIGRATION. INVEST IN FOOD SECURITY AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT.
Migration is the movement of people, either within a country or across international borders. People migrate for a lot of reasons. However, studies have shown that most of these people migrate involuntarily. They are forced to move by certain reasons such as distress, #foodinsecurity , #unemployment and the likes.
As a result, #migration is becoming a major challenge in our world today because many migrants arrive in developing countries where resources are already scare and the migrants cause further #scarcity .
The goal of #wfd2017 is to change the future of migration by making migration a choice rather than a necessity and this is to be achieved by investing in #foodsecurity and #ruraldevelopment .
Certain factors which trigger involuntary mass migration would require more efforts to alleviate, for example, political instability and poor #governance . However, some other factors (which are the root causes of migration) can be addressed by simply investing in Food security and Rural development. Such factors include: Hunger, Unemployment, Poverty, among many others.
If investments are made towards developing Rural communities and eliminating the threats of food insecurity, residents living in such areas will not be forced to migrate because they now live in environments with better conditions and they feel safe to remain in their communities.
#NationalEntrepreneurialCamp was one of the very first #SocialEntrepreneurship training programs I attended in 2013 and I was honoured to be selected to participate for a week full of exchange, practical knowledge, workshops, training, pitching, brainstorming social changing ideas 💡 and envisioning to build a better world together today before tomorrow! With experts from the social entrepreneurship sphere and motivated youth leaders hungry to create a positive change in their communities from all the different parts of the country!
In 2016 I had the opportunity to reconnect with #NEC but this time as a youth mentor and more or less as a social change motivator during 2016 edition of #NEC ! Coming with the idea that I'll give all what I learned from my humble experiences and share my knowledge, skills and #Hunger4Change but by the end of the program I should admit that the true inspiration was coming from the participants themselves fueling even more my fire to lead a #GlobalSocialChange through #YouthEmpowerement and #SocialEntrepreneurship to reduce #SocialInequalities and build a responsable generation that think and act for the unfortunate others!! .

Its a vice versa i know from many cosmetic ads😉😘 but I am more than PROUD of the lady thou that i see in the after photo and I thank God for that, my family and friends who encouraged me through.
Exactly 3 months ago on the 30th of may i took the 1st photo as i knew so much was about to change as i embarked on this journey.
From what seems fun and interesting to many, to me its a school that i grow from day by day.
Tough, challenging, discouraging, scary and more for a #WOMAN working in the wildlife areas/tourism industry that is a male dominated industry. From lions roaring so close, to a face to face confrontation and #icantmakethisup 😃. It requires a different mindset, courage, strength and a very positive self image/ mentality to make it out here.
So what is it like for me as a lady assuming management role at my early 20's in a male dominated industry? What keeps me going? How is it different? My experiences and challenges, above all what would you like to hear from me? Join me this November on www.theBoldfrontier.com as i take you through this amazing journey😍
