What does it mean to be authentic? Let me ask a better question – do you know what your core values are? •
When I ask people this question I am usually met with a confused look when they respond with “I have no idea”. However, when I ask people if they have ever experienced the following feelings, they quickly identify: a knot in their stomach, a rattle in their voice, a spike of adrenaline, a pang of guilt, tighten of the chest, unease in the presence of a specific person or clenching teeth when anger bubbles under their skin. •
What does all of this mean? When we live from a place not aligned to our core values, we feel it. Regardless of the image we try to project or situation we convince ourselves we are ok with, our body quickly let’s us know when we are not being our true self. Everywhere. From the top of our head down through our body to the big toe. •
When you take the time to identify your core values you begin to understand why you feel these feelings, what’s important to you, the people you are not your true self around and situations that exhaust not energize you.
What you really want becomes crystal clear. You live with intention. You answer hell yes or no thanks to people and situations without an ounce of hesitation. Life flows in a little faster attracting more of what you want, quickly. Draining people leave, making space for energizing people to enter. Exhaustion, misery and disease disappears and is replaced with warmth, calmness, tingles of excitement, motivation, happiness and a feeling of floating one inch off the ground.
This is what it means to be authentic. You doing you. The best thing you can do for yourself, and other humans, is be true to yourself. It is in this space of authenticity and flow that you live with purpose, ignite your passion and make a positive impact on the world.
Do you know what your core values are? Are you living the true version of you? If not, why? What is one thing in your life right now that your mind in convincing you to do but your body is signaling the opposite?
Meditation Tip 276 - Not Caring
*Video Link in Profile*
Try to notice today in your own experience that we put value on things as we are developing in life and then that value we placed on certain things makes us care too much about somethings and not care about other things. This then is a tool that is used by our minds to keep us unconscious.
If you take a look at a young child for instance they dont know things yet, therefore they dont care for anything in particular really as they have no value placed on it...everything to them is a possibllility.
The problem in our world is that this is seen as bad to not care.
I am not saying to not care at all either, i am just trying to point out that ultimately most of your caring is an addition and your mind uses it to keep you stuck.
When you start letting go of all that is not you including the picked up caring based on your values you placed on things, you eventually get released from your mind made self and touch the connection you have with all of life and that is not a caring that keeps you trapped from experiencing life fully, its love for all of life.
This is a main reason we can do terrible things to each other. We value some people and somethings but others we dont care about. When you let go of egoic caring you will care unconditionally for all.

Sometimes you have no other option. Sometimes life strips away all the distractions and things you thought were your path and plants you squarely, quietly, on another. Sometimes when everything falls away, all that's left is to be very still and very quiet.
And oh how we resist these times! The brain reels, the emotions flow, but, but, but....! We stutter for answers, other possibilities, ANYTHING but this! How fearful it is to face the truth, to lean in and truly listen, to the still small voice within. And then...it's not so bad! In fact, it's quite...peaceful! Peace is rejuvenating, refreshing! Why, it's actually what we've wanted all along! And it was HERE the entire time, right inside ourselves.
Now I seek peace and crave it. I start every morning in quiet contemplation. Just allowing all that is to rise and fall and settle itself inside me. Coming back to it again and again throughout my day. Grateful for the stillness and the solidity in an otherwise spinning world.
