After post comp blues and being indecisive on what was next for me was i going to compete again to see if I could make a top 3 podium finish. Or work on what i need to and come back even better this was a hard decision for me as I felt like I had a title in me and was a goal of mine I set out at the beginning of the year. But after really thinking about it I made the decision not to compete this year due to that I want to win and go on to the British and feel like I could compete for the title and not just be a person to make up numbers so from that I'm making a couple small goals before I start my off-season properly. Im now going on a 10 week summer shred to get in good shape for my best mate wedding and aiming to get back in front of the camera and get some shoots on the go. Plan of attack👉🏼 Taining this week was average at best. I’m making no excuses (I guess I am… lol I’m such a pussy) but when the heatwave hit in Ireland on Mon, maintaining typical intensity throughout the week was a lot harder and thus, some sessions were very half arsed towards the end. In terms of the scales, as you can see, my scales were acting up a bit and on Tues/Wed gave me two COMPLETELY different readings (which I'm not including for the averages). Friday is an N/A due to weighing in 1hr earlier than normal and not having done my habitual “routine” (if you know what I mean 💩). So that brings me to 3 days of 74.6 with a spike of 75.4 and an average of 74.8 which is my heaviest average I have had in the past 27wks of check ins. Still happy enough with how I’m looking though and still having days of feeling both super tight and feeling super fluffy as f**k but that my friends is called a mindf**k and as to be expected when on nearly 600g of carbs.
In terms of diet I stuck to my 580g carb goal pretty well with protein falling between 220-230 rather than 210 like I said it would as a result of so many carbs. Keeping macros the same this week to, once again, assess weigh ins and gym performance. The past 3 weeks have been a little weird and you've seen me sort of “unsure” as to what’s going on weight-wise as weigh ins have been all over the place (73.6-75.6 in the space of a few days) and I’m still trying to figure out where I truly stand however, as I’m still always pushing my volume boundaries, I do still find I get those 1-2 “exhaustion/depletion” days per week and FEEL as though I 👉🏼Finished on FB "Scott Murray Fitness"👈🏼

After not posting for about a month I'm back with a naughtttty tricep pump! I've been incredibly busy learning my new role having started working at @davidlloydleisure last month which is something I'm super excited about. In terms of my training, my focus has been fully on improving the quality of my sessions without thinking about getting content. As it got to a point where I cared more about putting a story on IG than my set, which is ridiculous. It's been nice to unplug and realign with what's most important to me. One massive thing I have started to implement is tracking my lifts in a logbook. Ive definitely been subconsciously influenced by the likes of @ajmorris_ & @louisjoecalvert who have been massive advocates for it on here and I can see why, absolute game changer. That's a little life update from me. Also my hair has grown back finally 🙏🏼 #returnofthecapps

If your a young guy (13-18 give or take)and your just starting to get into training and you're not sure whether you should bulk or cut, if you are under 18-20% body fat I would 100% recommended eating a calorific surplus. Because, at that body fat percentage you are healthy, being obese isn't an issue to you, so don't be scared to eat! You don't gain if you don't eat! 💪 you might feel "fat"because of standards set by the media these days, but you aren't fat. Keep up the good work everyone! 💪
