Perseverance is the mother of greatness. With it you can climb even the highest of mountains.
This was the spot that I was trying to find all summer. I have asked around hoping to find this location but got zero response. I have done numerous research and still came to a dead end. I luckily found the location a couple of weeks ago through a new friend. Thinking it wasn't going to be that hard since I had an idea where it was but I was definitely in for a trek. Even though the destination was clear, the journey was not. It took me two attempts to find this spot. Both attempts required some bush whacking and rock climbing. After losing sun on the first try, I figured it was too dangerous to try to navigate through darkness. Even though my second attempt was a success, it still wasn't easy. I couldn't find a clear pathway so I made up my own (something that I do not recommend). I found a more defined pathway going down but my friend stumbled across a cougar about 20-30 feet away in darkness. Luckily, we were close enough to the beginning to finish the hike in safety. I'm glad that I didn't give up. Believe me, I wanted to do many times. Not knowing exactly where to go was frustrating. I did this more for the challenge and accomplishment. (It was really windy so the water was very choppy. I didn't get reflection that I wanted but maybe next time is the charm 😉).
